Sigma 18mm f/3.5 - How to open front end to clean?

I've tried to unscrew the front plastic fascia but I can't unscrew it with just my fingers and there are no notches for a lens wrench type tool. Anyone got a solution?

Best you don't open it at all as you can damage the lens. Send back to manufacture

Thanks but I bought it second hand and it would cost a lot more to fix it than it cost to buy. Plus I've already drilled holes in it for a lens spanner.

going by your question i`d say you don`t have the ability to perform this job yourself.to just adjust the front end alignment you don`t need to remove any components.you do need an alignment machine to get the angles set to specs, there are 3 angles that need to be checked, castor camber and toe-in otherwise your tires will wear and the car won`t go down the road straight.

SOURCE: Can't remove right front caliper

Might want to get it all buttoned back up and head to a shop. Maybe even call first. Ask if they can use an impact gun to break it loose for you and hand tighten it so you can get back home. A good mechanic should even have tools that will grip a rounded bolt head.
This is a type of good friendly service I would provide to people (until they abused my kindness and mistook it for weakness).

How do I remove the keyboard from an Acer Aspire 4810TZ

    Hi,

To remove the keyboard from your laptop, look at the 'shoulders' of the plastic fascia where the screen meets the base. Lift the screen up and trace the indentation/slot 'round the back, Insert the nail of one finger while you gently press the fascia inward (not downward) just above or below the slot. Don't use anything metal. The fascia will lift a little at thee points covering the hinges. Open the screen fully (flat) while keeping the gap there, then 'persuade' the panel to lift, while pushing downward a little where it meets another part of the fascia at the keyboard's edge. It is an art, so try not to damage the fascia. You will now see some small screws holding the keyboard in place.

Thanks and have a nice day.

How do I replace dashboard heater light? The glowing lights that indicate direction of air flow.

Heater light bulb, and all other bulbs for the air conditioning buttons, are on the same mini panel, and attached to the back of the radio front fascia. To dismount this fascia, you need 1) To pry out (no screws) the clock 2) Unscrew the one screw that holds the top of the fascia (screw is hidden behind clock) 3) Unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the fascia 4) Disconnect all connectors from the back of the fascia 5) Look for the burnt minibulb.
You could replace the bulb without disconnecting, but the cables are short, and the possibilities of marring your dashboard are high.

My brush will not turn on my Bissell 6393 upright bagless vacuum... what is wrong? The belt broke and I replaced it twice... I now have 6 more replacements but the brush still won't rotate. Do I have to...

This type of plastic brush roll fails pretty frequently. Hair and other debis gets jammed in the end caps. The hair and debris gets hot which in turn tends to melt the plastic end caps. Remove your brush roll, hold the ends with your fingers and try to spin the brush roll. If it does not spin freely then it is probably damaged or clogged up. If it's not damaged beyond repair you may be able to unscrew the end caps and clean the debris out. If you can't unscrew the end caps then they may already be meted shut. Bissell part number for your brush roll is B2032305.

I need info on how to replace the headlamp bulbs on my 2008 Chevy Malibu, can you help.

The procedure is very involved. It requires the removal of the front bumper fascia fasteners from the center and side of the headlamp to be removed.
    1. Remove the front bumper fascia fasteners from the center and side of the headlamp to be removed, full removal of the fascia is not necessary. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.
    2. Gently pull the fascia forward to allow clearance to remove the headlamp assembly.
    3. You will also need to remove some of the fasteners at the front of the inner wheel well.
    4. The Front Bumper Fascia is the plastic cover over your front bumper.
    5. You may also have to remove the plastic cover that is located under the front of the hood over the radiator. It extends to both sides.

There is a small hole near the door. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole, push in just a little, and you can rotate the door clockwise, the door will come out and you can get to the problem. When the water is drained in machine the door is open able.

Immediately facing you is a black connector, about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter. When you unscrew this, all the water left in the washer will spill out onto the floor. Use a plastic bag to catch this or a small pan.(later models have a drain hose?) The black connector unscrews counterclockwise, and takes quite a few turns. Once you have it out, you'll find the source of your clog. Remove it, clean out, screw the black connector back in. You can check with rinse, if you want to make sure there are no leaks. Put the door back on and rotate.
