I need to know more. when you call for cooling does the indoor fan run? Does the contactor at the outdoor unit pull in? Have you looked at the fuses,breaker. If it has been very hot lately open the outdoor unit and look for a thing that looks like a large battery it should have 3 to 5 wires on it this is the run/start cap the high outdoor temp will sometimes make this fail. You can see a failed cap 85% of the time just by looking it will have a defromed top or be leaking oil. YOU DON'T WANT THIS OIL ON YOU!

I have an Amana Ptac Model # PTH123A25AB. It is showing F1 on the display. How do I get it working again?

Evedently F1 is an indoor thermistor problem. This is the sensor that is at the indoor coil. Normally a wire it lead that is attached to the front of the indoor coil. This lead is either unplugged or damaged/malfunctioning. Found this on "manualslib.com" but I'm unable to copy the link.
