This is called "bleeding," and is unfortunately not repairable. You will have to replace the screen.

Hi,
Do you have a CRT monitor?
Have you tried to adjust the color on the monitor?
How is it connected to your computer?
It sound like one of the guns on you monitor died. But there is some testing you should do first.
If it is a CRT monitor and it is connect your computer properly. First thing to do would be to replace the cable and or try a different monitor that you know works.
To confirm try adjusting the color. If that does not work, if it more purplish it is the green gun, if it is orangish it is the Blue gun. That would be cause by a failed gun or driver.
If the gun is gone it is best to get a new one. It will save you money in the long run.

Thank you...

SOURCE: monitor looks like right half blue shade

Either your monitor or the video card inside the computer is going bad. To isolate the problem connect another monitor to the computer. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok that means your video card is ok, but your original monitor is bad. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same blue shade then your video card inside the computer is bad.

The top half of my pictures with a flash are shaded.

Not seeing the pictures I have to guess. If the shade you mention is not like a straight line, but more rounded, try making the picture without the lens hood. Or use a external flash, when you use another than the standard lens. I don't think you can take a picture in manual, with a shutter speed above 1/250 second, because in such case the top or bottom part could become shaded then, but then the shade is in a straight line from left to right.

I was using my Nikon coolpix s205. after taking pictures, it went on standby mode and when i was going to use it again, the monitor was just black and i cannot take pictures anymore. i tried to turn it off...

All I can suggest is 1) Fully charge the camera. and 2) Make sure NO cable is attached to the camera when you turn it on.

Background; Lens motors use lots of power and with a dead battery they do not work very well (stuck) When you have a cable attached to the camera the monitor WILL shut OFF.

Nikon Coolpix p80 blacked out, rounded corners

Have you attached some sort of lens shade to the front of the lens? The vibration might have something to do with the shake reduction system but I can't be sure. It certainly shouldn't vibrate heavily. You might get a better answer if you e-mail the tech guys at the support section of the Nikon website.

Hello, I went and researched a few points in the manual and hope this helps to some extent. If this doesn't help, try resetting your camera by removing the batteries for 30 seconds, then reinstalling them and turning on the camera again.
Monitor is blank:
• Camera is off.
• Batteries are not correctly inserted or battery-chamber
cover is not properly latched.
• Batteries are exhausted.
• EH-62B AC adapter (available separately) is not properly
connected.
• Camera is in sleep mode. Press shutter-release button
halfway.
• Monitor is off.
• USB cable is connected.
• AV/Video cable is connected

No picture is taken when shutter release button is pressed:

• Camera is in playback mode.
• Batteries are exhausted.
• Red (!) lamp flickers: flash is charging.
• Green (AF) lamp flickers: camera unable to focus.
• Message "CARD IS NOT FORMATTED" appears in
monitor: memory card is not formatted for use in your
camera.
• Message "OUT OF MEMORY" appears in monitor:
insufficient memory to record picture at current Image
mode setting.

Black monitor Nikon Coolpix S4 Digital

Give the lense side of the camara a few moderate slaps while moving camara from bright to dark obgects back and forth. the shutter gets stuck and doesn't respond to changing light. that's why outdoor pictures are usually too bright and indoor pictures are black.
good luck.

Uneven flash

Look carefully at your images taken with flash... on the horizontal image is the lower part of the image slighty darker and have a rounded fall off at the edges? Is the vertical image dark side a straight hard line or is there a rounding to the top and bottom?

What we are looking at is if you have a very wide angle lens with the lens shade attached to the lens, then the built-in flash catches part of the lens shade and make a shadow on your subject... take the lens shade off and try the same shot and see if that makes a difference...

Have a great day...

Black (non-usable) screen on 1/3 of entire computer screen

from what your saying, it may be that your monitor may be going bad and may need to be replaced.

I suggest calling dell and try to get your monitor fixed,
or you may buy a seperate monitor, just make sure it has a VGA port so that you may use the monitor.
