Check drain hose first.

If you do not find any blockage, then you will need to access the pump, remove pump hose and look for blockage in there.

If there is no blockage at all, then either the water level switch, a faulty pump, a wiring problem, or a faulty timer board can be cause the machine not draining.

Bosch SilencePlus shows E:15, Aquastop, and Watertap!

Hi Greg,

E15 on the Bosch units indicated the base switch is activated. There is a safety switch which will activate the drain pump to avoid the base overflowing. Basically you either have a leak or possibly rodents living in the base of your dishwasher.

Easy way to check is first make sure no water is inside the washing area or sump (where the filter is). You will have a dribble there which the drain pump won't pump out but make sure it is mostly empty. The dishwasher always drains at the beginning of a cycle if you need to manually activate this, just turn you tap off so it doesn't try to fill. unplug your dishwasher then pull the machine out and place some old towels along the base and tip if forward. If water run out from the base then you got a leak.

If you are a bit handy then you can take either the front kick plate and cover off or a side panel to look in the base. The float switch is a polystyrene disc which raises and hits a micro switch when the base fills up.

Common place for these to leak is the sump, wash motor or water path / distribution unit. Look for chalky white residue around the seals. Depending on the age of your unit some parts are more serviceable than others. Bosch are pretty good with spare parts so you should be able to source most items you need.

If you are not handy or technical and are concerned about taking on this work, call in a technician. Remember disconnect power before attempting any work. please.

I hope this helps.

Bosch classixx dishwasher wont drain

Ive had this happen on mine too. remove the filters in the bottom. squirt washing up liquid into the space-- liberally dont be shy!
Boil pans of water, boil the kettle. pour water into the space where the filters normally are. Fill the base of the dishwasher completely. Next close the door and repeatedly use the Reset feature. Eventually the pump will clear and kick back into life. Its a build up of fats, and sludge that causes the pump to appear to seize--the washing up liquid and boiling water see to that.

Have a bosch dishwasher Mod. No. SGI53A55AUSS installed March 2004. All filters clear, exit pump clear and working. Switch on washer can hear exit pump working but machine does not accept water to fill....

Hello,

You said you had water under the dishwasher, did you remove the lower panel below the door and check for water in the base frame as well. Bosch dishwashers have system in the base frame that detects water in base and cuts power off to every component except drain pump till it no longer sees the water in the base.

Hope this helps

Bosch dishwasher wont drain

You can check the drain or the filter. You will have to pull it out of the space it is now to access it. Items will get stuck in the drain clogging it.
