SOURCE: Ryobi 18" petrol chainsaw won't start

my guess is that you have a crack or a hole in one of your fuel lines. this is very common in chainsaws and weed eaters because they are used very little and sit for a long time. try checking this and repair if necessary. let me know if this works.

take a hammer, and apply force. These batteries dont last forever... but i am serious about the hammer... you may be able to free up whats inside (if you know how a batterey works.)... also apply heat.. try to hit it from all angles than slam it down on the back and leave it sit... than try. I hope this works for you my dewalt batteries over the years have don this, and it works.. but BTW. it wont hold a charge for very long anymore.. the battery is pretty much garbage.

SOURCE: what kind of oil in the oil tank and how much for

Bar & chain oil is the best. You can use regular or synthetic. Some say you can use atf (auto transmission fluid) or sae30 oil. I use bar & chain oil.

Oiler mechanism to bar of ryobi 40cc 10532 18 inch

I get asked this question a lot , im gonna have to make a video on this subject someday .
but here:
1st ck your oil viscosity/SAE it should be 30 and say bar/chain oil
next dump out entire oil tank and wash out with kerosene (you'd be surprised what I seen come out)
then remove bar and chain , locate oil outlet it's in body of saw near adjustment screw , use a small can of air to blow in this port softly , use a touch more of kero to clean this all out , refill tank with proper oil !!!! and run saw (no need to put bar/chain back on yet ) might take several minutes but oil should start to flow out hole !! stop saw and reinstall bar/chain then run again .. fixed !! if no oil comes out ever your oil pump is gonna need some fixing

for a low cost oil I use filtered used motor oil cut down with a dab of kerosene

Man, I know what you mean. If I am not going to use my saw, I empty my saw oil back into
the oil bottle using a large funnel to catch it all. Then I can put the saw in a large cardboard box
lined w/layers of newspaper in an upright position til next time. Works great! Get back to me if
you need help sharpening that puppie...............dansky66

Oil not feeding to the chain guide on the electric ryobi chain saw

Remove the cover on the right hand side of the saw and remove the bar and chain. Clean the oil port holes in the bar and the body of the saw. They get clogged with sawdust and chips. Also clean the groove in the bar and the sprocket at the end of the bar. Always use proper chainsaw bar oil.

Bought a Ryobi cs214 at a pawn shop. There is no oil in the holder for smooth running of the machine. Would like to know what kind of oil does the Ryobi CS214 takes.

Just fill the tank with regular bar/chain oil available at home centers, hardware stores, and saw dealers. Don't use old used motor oil or similar. Hope this helps!

MY RYOBI 14 INCH SAW IS OVER-OILING AND SPRAYING OIL ALL OVER THE PLACE , IS THERE AN AJUSTMENT?

At the bottom of the saw you should find the oil pump. There will be a flat head screw that adjusts it. Be sure that you are using a good quality bar oil and not a motor oil. Adjust it in small increments. You can easily burn the bar and chain if it doesn't get enough bar oil.
