Unplug the LG fridge and wait 20 minutes - Plug back into power - Many times the code will clear or reset. If not keep reading below... -The majority of the time it is the freezer fan causing the Er FF error code. The FF error code indicates that the freezer fan motor is defective. https://removeandreplace.com/2017/08/27/lg-refrigerator-error-code-er-ff-how-to-clear/
With LG 'smart' refrigerators, the error code CF means that the refrig control board 'thinks' the condenser fan down by the condenser coil is not working. I don't know ow the board senses that, unless it's a temperature sensor on the condenser coil signaling the coil is running too hot. It could be dust blocking the coil air flow, a bad fan (locked up or running slow), a bad sensor, a bad control board, you name it!
There is a self timer for auto defrosting in the no frost model. There could be possible fault in this setup. Also your thermostat could be another culprit. You will need to call a service technician to give an second opinion but keep these views in mind. Never try to do any work which could be expensive to already a wrong choice of buying a used set w/o warranty. Finally keep your thermostat in diffferent modes and check out for any differance in the fault. Hope my advice is helpful. Good Day.
