Brand new purchase, noticed it looses time (8-10 seconds every 24 hours)

My personal opinion:
Take it back (undo your "new" purchase).
Real watch movements DO NOT have the accuracy
of "QUARTZ" watches...!!
If you have a WARRANTEE that allows for higher
expectations... I would say TAKE IT back
immediately..!!
Worse than dropping a few SECONDS from your
watch...you are wasting time from your LIFE tribulating over nonsense

If you purchased your UNITIME for accuracy
you skipped over some VASTLY SUPERIOR
quartz watches that would better suit your
EXPECTATIONS... ( for $$$ thousands less ).
Breitling Caliber B35 is a very nice movement...
(I think you need a QUARTZ... digital)...

No matter what is your watch movement (quartz or mechanical) it can be adjusted to keep time properly.
Bring it to your nearest watchmaker and the problem will be solved.
9 sec a day is far too much for Breitling.

The watch should last 36 hours from fully wound. If your wearing the watch and using a watch winder and its still stopping, you have a problem with the mechanism. Get it serviced. (its probably just a clean and oil req'd)

We had the same issue. Replaced new batteries etc. Since it was an expensive Invicta watch and less than a year old we assumed it was perfect. However, you need to take it into a upper end service center and have it "serviced" they will oil, align, etc and it will probably solve your issues.

Of course, there is the way to do that. Try to pull out crown carefully and you will notice that there are two positions (clicks). Second click is when the crown is fully pulled out and the watch hands move by turning crown. But there is first click (lets say - crown is pulled just half way out). In this position the date/day can be quickly changed by turning the crown. Crown=winder.
