Since there is no model, serial, or manufacturer listed, let's look at generic process. When call for heat, there are usually a few processes, like a combustion fan and a proving switch that the fan is working. Once that is satisfied, a current is sent to the glow plug to cause it to heat. This is when you check for the correct amount of power being sent to it. And it is providing that the proving process is complete. If there is current and no heat, check the amp draw (if you have the meter to do so.) If no amp draw or if you do not have a meter that measures amps, this would be the time to Kill power to the unit, unplug or disconnect the wires to the glow plug and check for continuity or ohms resistance. If resistance is present, you need to know what is the proper amount to have. Trane usually has about 80-100 ohms on their commercial roof top units. If there is no resistance or continuity, the glow plug is bad and needs replaced.

Cozy gas wall heater won't ignite, pilot light is on

There are two types of igniters, spark-type or glow heater. The glow heaters wear out and crack or break and the spark-type spark gap gets fouled or dirty. Both could have electronics problems that drive the glow heater or spark systems. The Filtrete thermostat is not the issue. While rapping the unit makes the glow igniter come back together to glow again.

Charmglow electric fireplace - fake flame does not work - serial #21704 DR 1839

If you are not getting any flame effects or the glowing ember bed, the bulbs (60 watt, small base chandelier) may be burner out.

To replace them, remove the plexiglass front and then the logs. The plastic glowing ember bed just lifts out, exposing the bulbs. Before replacing them, check to make sure they are not just loose in the holders.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

How do I replace dashboard heater light? The glowing lights that indicate direction of air flow.

Heater light bulb, and all other bulbs for the air conditioning buttons, are on the same mini panel, and attached to the back of the radio front fascia. To dismount this fascia, you need 1) To pry out (no screws) the clock 2) Unscrew the one screw that holds the top of the fascia (screw is hidden behind clock) 3) Unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the fascia 4) Disconnect all connectors from the back of the fascia 5) Look for the burnt minibulb.
You could replace the bulb without disconnecting, but the cables are short, and the possibilities of marring your dashboard are high.

My GE side by side Model # GSS20IEPA has frost on

Is the fan in the freezer working ? May have to press the light switch in to test . If not , main control board is probably bad . not the fan moter . Pull refrigerator out and remove the small 10"X13" metal cover . Unplug refrig first . Then remove the blue plug with 3 wires attached to it . The wire sequence on the plug looks like this : wire 1,wire 2,space wire 3.
Use an insulated jumper wire with both ends stripped and insert one end into wire 2 and the other into wire 3 . Plug refrig back in and look in freezer at the bottom . If the heater and defrost thermostat are good , the a red glow should appear . No red glow , either bimetal or heater is bad . Most likely heater pt# WR51X10101 . Do not forget to reinstall the blue plug with refrig unplugged or could cause main board dammage .

I need a new bulb for my glow buoy pool light! how much and were thanks!!!

The Glow Buoy swimming pool lights were designed so that the bulbs can only be replaced by a licensed pool supply store. If you open the light yourself, you will void any warrantly and risk breaking the unit. Becuase of this, they don't sell the exact bulbs that you need unless a pro is installing them.

Heater coils on a aloha utility heater lights up

It is typical for the elements to glow. The glowing is caused from the high amount of electrical flow through the coils. It is the same principal of how some light bulbs work.
