Suddenly my speaker volume is low and scratchy

I have a set of Creative Gigaworks S750 speakers. Today, all of a sudden, the sound is low and scratchy. I reinstalled the drivers on my Audigy 2 ZS sound card but it didn't help. I uninstalled the Audigy card and attached the speakers to my onboard sound and enabled it in BIOS. Still sounds the same, low volume (even with all volume sliders at max) with distortion. Are my speakers shot?

I don't have any other speakers to hook up. Maybe I can ask a friend. I did plug in my headphones and the sound through them is fine. I guess I'll be using headphones till I figure this out.

    Thanks!

Thank you very much for your help. I will try to find the problem with my wiring. I'll be back to let you know.
    Thanks again.

Congrats, you yourself is a good troubleshooter. Just pinpointed your problem. What you just diagnoist can be easilly checked just by taking other good known speaker. If that works your speaker is short check for audio output wires. If not your card needs replacement. If need further clarifications just comment.

Gigaworks S750 Speaker System. Do you need the audio pod for the sub and surround speakers to work? Can they work with volume control from the PC?

It is a fully integrated system that is powered from the sub which contains the power board, the amplifier and heat sink, plus the processor. you could run one speaker using the onboard sound card.

The link shows the inner workings.

I have a Creative Gigaworks S700 i have checked both fuses still no power to control box

Stupid question: does the sound still work? it could be the LED just died after continual use (rare, since they last a long time, but not uncommon).
If not... it could be the controlling circuit board died. In which case, unless you have electronics repair experience, it would be probably more worthwhile to just replace the speakers, as pricey a model as it is.

Cambridge Soundworks Gigaworks S750 I left the system on standby over the night next day no sound or some fuzzy sound from the speakers..Is it the remote controller or the whole system went...

To make these your default speakers, you will need to do the following 1. Find the volume control icon on the bottom right portion of your screen 2. Right click the icon 3. Select change default 4. Cycle through the options until you see the logitech speakers as an option 5. Select this new option 6. If you still do not see the logitech speakers then you need to reinstall them with the provided software. If you do not have software, download it for free from logitech.com

Creative s750 speaker distortion

The volume in your system and your television is separate. Mute your television, and rely only on your system.

Left front speaker works the rest dont and the sub makes a hum

Either you have it configured incorrectly this time around, or the settings are defaulted back to original on your DVR........ adjust your DVR sound properties/settings. and check all wires/connections as well.

All I need is the control pod for the Gigaworks S750

I had an extra one but I sold it. According to creative labs they do not sell any replacement parts for the speaker systems. The best suggestion that I can give is to check craigslist and ebay for the control pods.

Connecting Creative Gigaworks S750 computer speakers to panasonic plasma tv

This depends on the audio system setup designed on your television.

Most speakers can have adapters bought for them which will allow you to connect your speakers to a television. But not every TV will support the 7 speaker configuration with PC Speakers.

The good news is the adapters are fairly cheap at Radio Shack and should not set you back more then 10 bucks. Maybe even cheaper.

Gigaworks S750 Sub - Pops and Cuts Out

There is obviously a problem on the amp board with 3 STA575 amplifiers. It may be that one of the diodes is shorted or one of the capacitors has dried up or shorted. For more information I have posted a link to a forum thread that contains all of the information you would need to fix the Gigaworks S750 system. If the information has not already been posted there then you can ask on there and the people there will point you in the right direction.
