I need a replacement blade adjusting ringRY-A181014002 for Ryobi table saw BT3100K or a substitute as this part seems to be no longer available.

The boss (I think this is the term) is cracked and won't engage the blade raising spindle

If that's the part number, type it into both Amazon and eBay you should get a couple of vendors that have stock.
Good luck.

SOURCE: changing the saw blade on a Ryobi Mitre saw

There may be a push button type blade lock, and on many of these saws the retaining bolt for the blade is backwards threads, e.i., looking at the top of blade retaining bolt, turn it clockwise to loosen. This would normally tighten, but in the case of many of these saws, it loosens it.

SOURCE: ryobi bt 3000 table saw belt installation diagram

The BT3000 actually has TWO v-belts! Here's a link at the end of this solution to an exploded diagram. Basically you have a major disassembly, but it really isnt that complicated.

More great info on the BT3000 is available from the web site http://bt3000.com/

I have a BT3100 saw, and it is a good tool, but does require attention in maintenance procedures, but Ryobi did outline the necessary steps in their manuals. The above website also has the owner manual if you need one.

  1. Unplug saw
  2. Remove the blade
  3. Lower mechanism all the way to the bottom
  4. Flip over saw and lay on it's top
  5. Remove the blade guard panel opposite the motor
  6. Unbolt the motor assembly and remove the belt cover
  7. Replace the broken belts
  8. Re-assemble (be careful not to cross-thread the bolts in the aluminum housings!)

SOURCE: How do I change the blade on my Ryobi 10" table saw?

The manual is posted on line. Changing the blade does not require turning the saw over, blocks of wood or vice grips. The advice listed above is potentially damaging to your equipment.

SOURCE: How to replace Ryobi circular saw CSB140LZ lower guard assembly

Clean the area where the guard attaches to the hub assy. It is a snap ring that is holding the guard on. You will need to either use a pick or a small flathead screw driver in order to remove it. There should be a little tab that you will be able to work out. Look around the entire perimeter of the hub to locate it. You may need some extra light to see it. Stick the pick or small flathead behind the tab from the right. Work the tab out and above the hub. Now you can work your pick or scredriver around the perimeter to remove the ring. Install it in a similar fashion but use the flathead to guide the ring back into the groove, working it around the opposite way.

Is there a replacement rip fence and blade guard available that will fit a Craftsman 10" table saw model 137.218072

The parts diagram for the Craftsman 137.218072 is available here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/2fdac98m1p-000247/craftsman-137218072-table-saw-parts . The blade guard is available; it's part 3232, The rip fence (part 2RXS) is not available. However, there are after-market table saw fences that probably can work. You may need to make some adjustments for the mounting points. See https://woodsmithspirit.com/best-table-saw-fence/ for some ideas.

I hope getting the blade guard at least helps.

I had a similar problem with my Ryobi table saw. I got out my square to establish true vertical, then tapped the motor housing lightly with a rubber mallet until the blade was at true vertical.

Ryobi mitre saw jamming when cutting

There's a normal adjustment process of squaring the blade to the table, page 19 of your manual. If the blade is not square to the table then it will bind. Here's the link for the manual, see page 19.

Bt3100 blade height

My guess is you are talking about a table saw. If this has a plastic handle, the D shaped hole in the handle has probably become stripped. An easy fix it to put a hose clamp (the kind that you tighten with a screwdriver) around the hub of the handwheel. You might also have to put a shim (perhaps a small screw) into the flat space in the hub to help make the fit a little tighter. I did this fix on my own saw many years ago, and the fix has lasted much longer than the original handle.

Hi,
It sounds as though you may be cutting too quickly. Try decreasing the pressure you are applying to the wood.
You could also try tightening the blade more, until it PINGS when you flick it with your finger.(When it's stationary of course)
I'm assuming your guides are adjusted correctly.

I have a Ryobi folding table saw and I learned how to adjust the bevel through trial and error. There are two allen key machine set screws in the top of the table. One for 90 and the other for 45. I backed the 90 screw off past 90 and than set the blade exactly at 90. Now I screwed the allen screw in to touch the blade. It seemed to work for me. Mind you it will have to be checked often to insure a perfect cut. Good luck.
