Turn H and L jet screws all way to right back each one out 1 1/2 turns. Start and hold full throttle, adj. H for maximum speed then adjust L so it will idle and have very little hesitation when sudden increase of throttle. Once this is done you may have to adj. H a bit more for maximum speed.

I have that saw. The manual states if you are using Homelite 2 -cycle oil read and follow the instructions on the package. If you use other than Homelite oil use 16 parts gasoline to 1 part 2- cycle oil, 1 gal / 8oz

SOURCE: adjusting the idle jets on a homelite super 2

'L' is the idle jet screw and 'H' is the full throttle screw. Make sure the air cleaner is not clogged. Turn both screws CW to stops (lightly), then back out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. Start the engine and allow to warm up, then pull the throttle full on. Turn H CW until the engine starts to speed up, but still 4 stroking. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes unloaded, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L CW for fairly smooth running, yet allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust idle speed screw so that the chain stops turning, but the engine keeps running. Hope this helps!

Start up procedure for model 10653 homelite super 2

Fully close the choke, shut off switch is toggled to "run". Pull start without using the throttle until the engine fires. Set the choke to the second position, pull start again until the engine fires and idles. Allow some time for the engine to warm up while giving light throttle and when the engine responds smoothly, set choke to fully open.

What do i set the l & h caburator screws on a homelite sxl

They are always preset at the factory so whwn an owner has to adjust them again, it will never be the same as what they originally set them as.

Here's what to do.

Clockwise, turn both needles until snug, NOT super tight.

Now back both out 1 complete rotation, here is your starting point

Now the L, you adjust this needle while the unit is idling, If the chain is moving alot , you went too far, rotate counter clockwise in quarter turn increments.

The H needle you adjust while pressing the throttle trigger and holding it in. Same as the low you adjust in quarter turn increments.

Homelite super 2 carburetor

There should be a screw next to the carburetor, and by turning it you can adjust the idle speed.

Homelite Super ez auto starts, but when given throttle, it boggs down. carb is at correct settings. It idles well, but no throttle, but in a blue moon it wants to kick in for a second.

Have you changed the filter in the tank(if applicable). Also could need a carb rebuild kit. Sound like the diaprgams in the carb could be keeping up at a idle but not putting out enough fuel when you open up the throttle.

Homelite chainsaw model 4620c will not idle unless it is in the half choke position

If the jet screws have slot heads, set 'L' CCW about 1/2 turn more or less. If proper, the engine should idle fairly well, yet allow the engine to 'follow the throttle'. If the jet screws have 'D' heads, you will need to either make a 'D' head screwdriver, or take the saw to a service dealer for adjustment. If the chain is trying to turn after the above adjustment, set the idle speed screw CCW until the chain stops trying to turn. Hope this helps!

BX 90 homelite leaf blower two idle screws

The initial setting is 1 1/2 turns out. Screw them all the way in and them turn them 1 1/2 turns out. This is the starting position and should start, it may need some final adjustments to run like you need it to run.
Remember more the screw is out the more fuel it will get.
Good Day.
