You just need to tap and hold the power key and once it give you the option if you want to turn off the device you will also see the option for Airplane Mode and you will be able to turn off the option.
Putting airplane mode on/off doesn't matter for the wifi.. it only affect on gsm signals.
Might be your router's signal broadcaster antenna is damaged or not working.
Or try to clean antenna with the alcohol liquid.
All they care when flying is to not have any services running like wireless or like cell phone service. All you have to do is disable your wireless and should be fine. When you turn on air place service on cell phone all it does is turn off transmition, Not like you will be able to get any signal on an air plane unless u have satellite wireless card. Most times all they care is when the plane takes off or on landing. Hope this helps.
you can usually go to settings on your phone and then they will have a feature that says , air plane mode on or air plane mode off ... just search around youll find it
settings & tools - #5 phone settings #1 stand alone mode , click to off and then ok . Thats so you can still use the other functions of the phone such as mp3s or movies .etc when on a plane or suck.
The Airplane mode allows you to listen to your music without having the phone function. As you know you are not allowed to have your phone on in flight.
