I have a Bosch Dishwasher that has flashing 1 and not working. When we reset breaker, cycle will start and run perfectly. But as soon as we press power on unit to start new cycle, the flashing 1 appears and washer will only start when breaker reset. Repairman we spoke to over phone believes we may be ‘tricking’ dishwasher into starting by resetting breaker, but that there is likely electrical issue or short that occurs. Anyone seen this issue before?

Try looking for slithers of glass etc under the impeller. Remove the sump covers (filters) and look into the bottom. There will probably be a small cover held down by a screw. Under this is the impeller. Roll up a hand towel into a cigarette shape and slide this under the impeller - that should clear anything out.

I have a bosch dishwasher model 2046. When you try start the cycle you hear the timer inside start to activate but the cycle doesn't start. The light in the start switch does not come on as well but I think it may be burned out. We have checked the breaker and I seems to have power.

Just had the same problem, same model. Found the wiring below the front cover fried. So now I'm checking to see if anyone else had this happen.
