Probably know by now that the motor or computer settings have gone.

SOURCE: The Cuisinart CBK-200C stopped in the middle of a dough cycle

Please check your shaft and bushing on the bottom of your bread pan . What is happening is the bushing is dirty and binding , your drive motor is heating and resetting or stopping , I just fixed this by pulling out the shaft and lubricating it with loive oil . It works so good now , better than new !

SOURCE: TR440 Breadman won't begin kneading once "start" button is pushed

Hi Mindy.......it takes 30 minutes to PREHEAT this silly machine for wheat bread. I thought I did something wrong, too........I stopped it twice after it preheated for about 15 minutes. I did not want to waste anything so I let it stay in the machine.....I just went to check the machine and it started after 30 minutes of preheating.

I wish they would mention this in the book!!!

SOURCE: get setting to whole wheat bread

Try using the white setting and it should be OK. Using part white and part wheat also works well, I have found.

The shaft is not turning . The machine just clicks.

If you have chosen whole wheat setting (and even on some machines just regular white bread) your machine may not start mixing immediately. They warm the ingredients first. Black and Decker machines are like that. If your machine hasn't started mixing within 1/2 after you pushed the start button then you have problem. Give it at least that half hour before assuming there is something wrong. The clicking sound you hear is the heating element gently warming to get the ingredients to the perfect temperature.

How do i override the delay start function

According to page four of the manual linked below, you can simply hit START after selecting 1. Menu item, 2. Crust colour, 3. Loaf size, 4. Mix-ins, 5. START or Delay Start Timer.

If the bread machine is running, and you wish to overide the Delay Start Timer, NOTE down the other options selected for Bread Type, Crust Colour, Loaf Size and Mix-ins; then press and HOLD the STOP/PAUSE key for 3+ seconds to re-initiate the breadmaking process. Re-enter the options, and re-start the breadmaker using no Delay Start Timer (Hit START in step 5.) or enter a new Delay Start time and then hit start

I press start and it just sits on prheat heat.

Many bread machines pre-heat on the whole wheat cycle. Give it up to 30 minutes and it should start mixing within that time frame.

Bread maker won't mix, it just clicks. I removed two screws on the bottom to see if the belt had slipped off. it was fine so I called Cuisinart to see if they could help. They said removing even one...

Some bread machines warm up before the kneading process begins especially on whole wheat cycles. If your machine hasn't started kneading after about 1/2 hour then you do have a problem but, give it time before you give up on it....

Using for the first time...it didn't start mixing right away...is this normal?

If you were using the whole wheat cycle yes that is normal. Also some machines won't start kneading until chamber is at the optimum temp.

The ingredients aren't mixing. I have to take the dough out and

My experience with the machine is that it kneads perfectly, but you have to use ACTIVE DRY YEAST instead of another kind of yeast, and you have to throw the ingredients into the pan in order - do not mix the ingredients at all - just pour them in, and let the machine do the mixing. Except for substituting between BREAD FLOUR and WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, do not substitute any other ingredients. This one is very picky about the type of ingredients that you use - not for the innovator :-)

Bread making

I had the same problem with a loaf of whole wheat bread. I also am a new bread machine user and followed directions explicitly. What I figured out was that the pan was not seated all the way into the clips so the paddle mechanism wasn't connected to the motor.
