From all the information I could gather on this issue, including speaking with a GE tech I decided to call in a repair person.

Ouch...sounds like the control module is blown. Thats the electronic timer. I've known this happen on several occasions. Bad luck!

If fan in oven is working o/k, then the prob is most likely the oven element is faulty, and needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: I tried to "clean" the oven and only got a F9
The F9 error code indicates a problem with the oven door lock assembly. The door lock assembly will need to be checked and replaced if defective. If the door lock assembly is okay, then the electronic oven control board will need to be replaced.
