SOURCE: Hello, Effects and EQ hook up problem

Many of those connections REQUIRE using TRS cables (stereo style) rather than TS cables (mono style). It is possible you have mixed the cables if it worked before.

Any cable plugged into an "insert" should be a TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) cable.

Look up these connections in your 1604 manual.

How do I hook up my Alesis Microverb III effect to Mackie CR1604VLZ and allow maximum aux sends for monitors ?

Hi,
What you need to do is connect (for example" Aux 1 send from the desk to the Left Input of the alesis. Then connect the Left and right output form the Alesis to Auxilery return 1 and 2. You can just use the left ouput and use aux return 1 if having mono effects is ok.

Behringer XENYX 2442 FX: Turntable into CD/tape IN. CD/tape OUT connected to USB device IN. Why is there no signal from mixer to the computer?

If I read correctly, you have outputs on the Behringer (CD/Tape Out) connected to inputs on the Behringer (USB Device In). Is that correct? If so, try going from CD/Tape Out directly to the computer. If not, please explain what the "USB Device In" is.
Thanks,
Rich

Beringer Xenyx 1204fx emits a clicking sound... Sounds like a Geiger Counter for radiation in my headphones. I have used the same sound mixer in the same configurations for 3 weeks. Now I've had it...

This is likely a problem with the FX in the unit or the power to it. Does the FX display act correctly? Check that the headphone source "Main Mix" is the ONLY button down for the headphones. If not, make it so. If the clicking is still there, try the headphones in the aux send jacks... see if EITHER left or right can hear the clicking. Back in the phone jack, scan across the SOLO channel buttons down one at a time. Is there clicking? If not, the problem involves the mixing buss or further down the line. Make sure the SOLO buttons at the FX Aux sends are up.
What effect does the MODE button have in SOLO and in PFL? Is the SOLO LED off? Is the number in the FX window SOLIDLY on and not flashing?

None of the channels work. Most of the LED lights work. Im going thru the beringer mixer for power but using another mixer.

If you plug into the PA input or inserts of this unit, that DISCONNECTS all the mixing channels within this unit and none in this unit will work. That is how it is supposed to work.

If you wish to use another mixer as well as the channels in this, I suggest you run the other mixer into one of the stereo channel inputs OR the CD inputs, although the CD are NOT balanced inouts and subject to higher noise level.

I have a behringer xenyx 2442 and the main output fader no longer works. Each individual channel fader now seems to go direct to the main mix and appears to bypass the main fader

The utput fader has probably been broken. If the knob takes a hit, it breaks the resistance element. The part is inexpensive but it takes a lot of work to access and replace the part.

I have a beringer pmp 5000. Out of the box, I

Yes, the fan is temperature controlled. You have to drive it a bit before it runs, and then it is kind of throttled versus temperature.

I have the 2442 fx behringer ''XENYX'' mixing console, and while trying to operate channels 13/14 and 15/16 (these are both stereo channels with mono capabilities, and do not have XLR inputs) I only get...

Check you assign buttons and bottom (three black square buttons) and play with them. It sounds as if you are not sending to that side. You should use mono cables into left and right. I set pan on left all the way left and right, all the way right. Hope this helps.
