SOURCE: 1 year old hayward h1001d pool heater clicking

Actually, the clicking is likely causing the shaking. Inside the manifold of a H100 is a stainless steel diverter plate that send some of the passing water into the heat exchanger and lets the rest past and back to the pool. When it breaks, you will hear a 'clicking' noise at it rattles in the water path. When it breaks, the flow to the heat exchanger is intermittent and you will begin to boil the water, causing the shaking. This situation is dangerous, especially without a pressure relief in the heater or pipe. As long as your water chemistry is sound, Hayward will usually cover this under warranty even if the unit is over a year old. SOURCE: in-g pool loss of pressure and bubbles from return line any ideas

If you notice bubbles in the water returning into the pool from the eyeball/discharge, or water in the strainer basket is visibly swirling (bubbles visible) odds are you need you replace the o-ring on the lid of the strainer basket in the front of the pump. This basket may also be clogged with debris, which also effect pressure. Could also be a cracked or warped strainer lid. Should be easy to see when you remove to check o-ring. Once you remove the strainer o-ring make sure you lube it with a good silcone based lube.

NO FUSE, YOU CAN USE A VOLT METER AND CHECK THE 2 SCREWS WHERE THE POWER HOOKS UP ON THE BACK OF THE MOTOR , THIS SHOULD BE A 230 VOLT SYSTEM . IF NO POWER AT THE MOTOR THEN CHECK IT AT THE TIMER AND THEN THE BREAKER.. GOT 230 OR SO ? IT'S A BAD MOTOR .. LOOK AND SEE IF YOU HAVE A PUMP REPAIR SHOP IN YOUR AREA THAT DOES FREE TESTING , YOU WILL NEED TO BRING IN THE MOTOR .. FOR FREE TESTING REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE FIXIT GUY ! THANKS JAY

I have a Hayward sp3400vsp. The pump runs all night some times, the screen say is priming, it will shot off manually, and it wont do it all the time. help??

Sounds like the pump is sensing that there is a problem with water flow on the suction side.

Could be caused by air being sucked into the system. Do you notice air in the strainer chamber? Or bubbles coming from the inlets in the pool?

Could also be caused by something clogging or restricting the suction line.

I have a Hayward sp3400vsp 2 HP pump for my in ground pool. When I turn on the pump it tries to auto prime for about 5 minutes and then shuts off. The pump is less than one year old. Any susgestions?

I have the same model pump. When I had it put in, the installer said that the auto prime function had some bugs in the software. He suggested changing the setting to 3 minute prime. You can change it in the configuration menu. I assume that your pump is actually priming and not running dry. Hope that helps. Please reply if you need more help. Good luck!

Pump will not run, electronics operate well

Can you plug the pump in directly to power and run it full speed? As this is an old problem, I'm sure you have already fixed it.
