Hi Iam using my korg pa50 as the master keyboard ive connected the midi cables to my other keyboard which is a yamaha psr9000 I cannot play the chords on the pa50 using the styles on the psr9000 is there...

The styles on the PSR9000 are NOT available on the PA50. Any styles of the PSR9000 would only come from the audio generation and outputs of the PSR9000. The PSR9000 would have to be setup to the style independently as that cannot be controlled via MIDI from the PA50 controls.

When i press the "music data base" button, nothing

You have put the keyboard in "Split" mode. In this mode you can assign a different voice for the left hand than the right.

The F# is the standard point to split the keyboard voices.

In the music data bases often a "style" is selected and if you select ACMP accompanyment, when you trigger a chord on the left hand it MAY start the rhythm... If you want an additional voice on the left over what the style is set to, you may have to independently select it.

Yamaha Keyboard psr-s550: page 32 of maunal says "when style is off" but then never says how to turn style off. please advise, thanks

Turn off the "ACMP" button... that is the "Accompaniment" function that controls whether the "Style" you select will accompany your playing or not...

When I load a floppy with music styles into the

Not sure about your particular keyboard, but on the Yamaha Tyros the style will NOT start rhythm until you select start AND hit a chord.

The style doesn't know what chord to start with until you trigger it.

SOMETIMES the style has to be moved to a user space...

One has to read and then DECYPHIER how to work these synths... Spend a little time with the user manual, as hard as it is to understand.

What kind of strings are best for washburn X 10

the washburn X10 is an electric guitar.

first thing you you want to make sure of is that you ask for electric guitar strings

next consider what kind of music your are playing...

heavier music or really moody warm tones your going to want thicker strings

med to heavy guage

if you want clear crisp tones than go with lighter guage

light to med

lighter guages are also easier on the finger tips.

the sizes usually refer the the smallest string on the bottom or the first string.

9 is the light 10-11 is med 12 is heavy

you might also want to consider nylon coated strings

they last longer

have great tone

easy on the fnger tips

but they cost more
