We have a older Panasonic, cordless phone, Model # KX-TG6031CM. Yesterday, the answering machine stopped recording messages. Now get recorded voice: "I'm sorry, but the person you called has a voice mail box that has not been set up yet." The mailbox worked fine for many years, until last night. Tried all the trouble shooting suggestions on line, any suggestions?

You can record your voice by pressing the red button on it and then you will listen a beep and then record your voice and then it will set as a automatic answering notification...

Record a Personal Greeting


Access the answering system from any handset. Wait until the system finishes its announcements, or press 5 (Stop) to skip them.

Press 8 (RecNewGreeting).

Wait for the system to say "Record greeting," then begin speaking.

When you're finished, press 8 to stop recording. The system plays back your new greeting.


To keep this greeting, press End. To re-record it, go back to step 2.

1 Press [OK]
2 Press up/down [^]/[V]: 'Answer System' : [>]
3 Press up/down [^]/[V]: 'Record Greeting' : [>]
Hold the handset about 8 inches away and speak clearly into the microphone.
4 Press [OK] to stop recording.
5 Press [OFF]

Hello, Alex.

Press and hold [GREETING] until “Record greeting after the beep” is
heard.

After the long beep, talk clearly, about 20 cm (8 inches) away from
the MIC (microphone). • The elapsed recording time is displayed. • If you record for over 2 minutes, the unit will stop recording.

When finished, press [GREETING] or [STOP]. • The unit will play back the recorded message.

KX-TGA 101S is the model number of the hand-set. Can you send me the model number of the answering machine? Also do you have the manual for both hand-set and answering machine? If not I can give you the link to download both manuals for free.

Using the answering system
remotely
1 Dial your phone number from a touch
tone phone.
2 After the greeting message starts, enter
your remote code (page 59).
LThe unit plays back new messages.

Note:

the panasonic KX-t7630 doesnt have a answering machine and runs through voice mail.. if you have voice mail set up simple dial your number for voice mail (eg. 500) press 311, then record greeting at the end of tone. hope that helps

• Step 1Begin the recording process by first locating the "Change" button on your answering machine. This button initializes the answering machine for adjustments to the settings of the various features.
• Step 2:Locate the microphone on your answering machine and lean towards it until you are about nine inches away.
• Step 3:Locate the "Annc" button. Press and hold the "Annc" button until it beeps. Begin recording your message.
• Step 4:Watch the message window while you are recording your message. It keeps track of how much time has elapsed since you began recording. You can record a message that is up to three minutes long.
• Step 5:Locate the "Stop" button and press it when you have finished recording your message. The answering machine will play your message back at this point. If you are not satisfied with your message, repeat the steps to record it again.
• Step 6:Press "Annc" if you want to listen to your message again.
