Look on the control box in the phone room for a jack labeled MOH. Attach a compatible receiver to the terminals and set the volume by calling the multi phone and putting you on hold, then adjust the volume on the receiver to a pleasant level.

SOURCE: Panasonic KX-T7731 phone cuts off/mutes on hold music

My guess is that you have a KXT-624 or 824 system.Follow the instuctions here: http://www.onholdplus.com/products/7000series_connect1.html

Then, if you get lucky, when you go to any system phone and press "1" without picking up the handset, the music will play.

If it doesn't and you don't get MOH, you may have to do some programming in system program 111.

SOURCE: Changing hold music - Panasonic KX-T7433

If it's truly music and not tones, the music comes from a device plugged into the system cabinet. On the side of the system there is a port marked MOH with a cable and a box at the other end. Here's where you find the MOH device and either change the CD or record new messages into it.

Intellitouch has a product called message studio that lets you make your own message on hold messages here:
hahttp://www.onholdplus.com/products/7000series_ms.html

The demo is free, and a licensed product is about $30.

SOURCE: Transfer calls to voice mail

It depends on what system the 7731 is attached to. If it's a TA system, that you dial either 107 or 115 to get to the Panasonic brand voice mail system, you take a spare button from the left side keys and press PROGRAM the spare button and dial 94+107 or 115 then STORE.

Pick up the handset and drop it back down to end programming. Then label the button VTR. When a call comes in, you press VTR and dial the extension or press the DSS (extension) button. You don't press HOLD or TRANSFER, just the VTR button.

It's all on page 158 of the OM http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/200_TA_OM_07-04%5B1%5D.pdf

If you are not using a TA series system, the instructions may be different.

How can i turn on music on hold Panasonic kx-t7731. i dont have anything on now

Music on hold is connected to the phone system controller. The audio from the source (usually a MOH radio) is connected to the MOH port on the controller.

Change auto attendant panasonic t7731

You may download a copy of the quick reference guide at http://www.ask-tsc.com/pdf/KX-T77xx.pdf

The KX-T7731 is just the phone. The auto attendant is controlled by the PBX. To change the message, please consult the manual for the PBX. If you don't have that manual, please reply to this post and specify the model of your PBX.

Because auto hold is on, on hold music is not getting off

Wow, those are 2 questions not related to each other. When the phone is idle, press "1" on the keypad and the BGM (background music) will go off. ("1" toggles it on and off).

Now, personal speed dial number can be stored on the 12 Function keys on the right side of the phone by pressing PROGRAM the button, and dialing 9+ the number you want and STORE.

System speed dial numbers are entered from the phone connected to the first extension (usually 101) with the system programming code or also from the maintenance console on a TA-824 or TAW-848. The code is 001 after you're in programming.

I can't get the on-hold music to work for our 7731

There could be a number of reasons and it depends on your phone system.

In a TA series, you need to turn on Music (program 111). Additionally, in an 824 you need to enable it per phone (pgm 626).

In the TAW/TDA/TDE family, it has to be turned on (710/711/712), and the code for music is *7511 (0 turns it off).

In the TD series, you use program 803 to select a source or none.

Those are the most recent Panasonic systems. If it still doesn't work, post back with the exact model number of your system cabinet and I'll check if there's different instructions.
