SOURCE: Kirby G 6 but it only blows air out, no suction. Also how do you detach the cloth bag to wash it?

I have the solution for the cloth bag laundering process...

Here is a link to my guide for cleaning the Kirby cloth bag...

It should be helpful. :0)

The Tech Drive problem SHOULD be able to be fixed easily and fairly cheaply by a vac shop or Kirby distributor. There is an adjustment that needs to be made, but it shouldn't require purchasing any parts.

SOURCE: Kirby Heritage 2 fan replacement

Take the bag asm. and handle off. Then remove the plastic strip covering the switch, remove the screw there, remove the 3 screws on the housing, turn it over and loosen the screw near the back, the housing should come off. Then remove the screws on the back of the fan casing. You shouild be able to get to the fan, hold the fan and turn the spindle to the right to take off. If it would turn off, then you may have to lock the armature so it can't turn to move it. Then re-asemble in reverse.

SOURCE: I need to install a mini emptor on a Heritage II Kirby

I actually figured this out on my own. Just removed the rubber out seal between the bad and em-tor, then used a screw driver to gently pry the bag out of it's grove. The wire part of the hose actually unscrews from the em-tor. Reverse the process to install the new one. Gotta love Kirby engineering.

Kirby heritage 2 handle wont stay in the upright posision keeps falling backwards

Two things; your bag may be too full and needs replaced. (it doesn't take much to make them top-heavy) or the pin at the back of the base of the handle is not extended.

Kirby heritage 2 wont stand upright keeps falling over

Is your bag too full? the added weight will tip over your vacuum, especially if you're using the attachment hose. Check the bag. If it's over the "indicator line", then change it. See if that helps.

I have a Kirby Heritage 84. Great condition except the part that connects the innerbag is missing. I don't even know what it is called. I can open the vacuum cleaner bottom and see that the part is...

The Heritage 84 had two different bag assemblies available. One is a dump-out bag. The dirt simply dumps through the bottom. The other is the bagged style which has a full length zipper to open it. Inside it should contain a "bag fill tube", and a top adapter to attach the bag onto. The oval fill tube is no longer available, but a round tube can be installed with a bit of efort.

Kirby

kirby style 2 bags if it is indeed a bagged unit, some where special order with what is called a shake out bag, if your outer bag has a short zipper with a cloth pocket it is a shake out bag in which you take the assembly loose from the machine and open the bottom of the metal empter and take out side and basically shake out the dirt. and use the pocket to help get out the dirt. but most of these machines did take a style 2 bag in which you unzip the outer bag and pull the paper bag away from the tube and reinsert new one onto tube and finally zip up bag
