SOURCE: Face wont open

if you have already tried hitting the reset button you should first remove the faceplate and check the contacts on the main unit and the back of the faceplate. if they are dirty clean them (with power off) with contact cleaner or a small eraser. if your lucky that will fix the problem but most likely you have a bad ribbon cable. this cable attaches the faceplate contacts to the main unit and flexes as the face tilts. after time these cables get small cracks that may not be visible. you can usualy buy the part from a place like pacparts.com and replace it to solve your problem.

SOURCE: I have a Kenwood ddx790 and for some reason the buttons on the bottom won't work. Touch screen works fine but can't eject the CD. Any ideas?

Sadly, it could be a worn out or lose ribbon cable, it has been a problem in many slide-out sets.

A total guess, but, open the screen and take a look underneath with a torch and a mirror, unless you pull it out. You may se the ribbon cable on the backside and how it curls or folds.

With luck you will spot something.

Otherwise

I'd suggest carefully splitting the screen and looking at the cables.

It is my best guess without seeing the unit.

Good luck

How do I eject a cd on a jvc-KD-T915BTS?

There should be an eject button on the face plate. The button has a parallelogram shape; the button tilts to the left at the top. It's a relatively small button just to the right of the Source button and above the volume knob. The symbol on the button is an arrow pointing up above a line. Press this to eject the disc. If a simple press doesn't work, try pressing and holding the button to forcibly eject a disc. Note: avoid dropping the disc if you use the force eject. The button position is shown on page 4 (page 10 of the PDF) of the instruction manual. The use of the button is given on page 41 (page 47 of the PDF). The manual is available on the product page, https://www.us.jvc.com/car/indashreceivers/kd_t915bts/ , under the product support tab. The current link to the manual is https://www33.jvckenwood.com/pdfs/B5A-3092-00B.pdf .

I hope this helps.

How do I eject the Dvd

Press the eject button on the top right-hand of the keyboard. Be patient if the disc does not pop out immediately. Try pressing the button a few times or waiting a few seconds and then press the button again. If it doesn't eject, tilt the computer with the disc drive facing down and shake it gently as you press eject.[1]
2
Drag the disc icon into the trash. If the eject button isn't working, locate the disc icon on your computer's Desktop and drag it to the trash can. The trash can is located on the far right end of the Application Dock on the bottom of the computer screen.

3
Press and hold "Command" while simultaneously pressing "E."

4
Find the disc in the Finder. Open the Finder, located on the bottom left of the applications dock. Look on the left-hand side of the pop-up window under "Devices" for the name of the disc in your drive. Locate the eject button directly to the right of the disc name and click on it.
5
Eject the disc through an application if it is not in the Finder. In iTunes or DVD Player, click on the "Controls" drop-down menu located on the top toolbar and click "Eject Disc." You can also open iTunes and click on "Playlists" so that the left side bar pops up. Look for the CD icon with the appropriate name. Click the eject button directly to the left of the CD name.

2004 Ford F150 rear entertainment system will not eject dvd, will play the dvd and will run when eject button pushed but will not eject the dvd any ideas on how to get the unit to eject the dvd?

The unit is connected by small set of gears that push tray /disc out. As tray comes out it either pushes disc out of slot or pops open door (depending on which style of face you have). If you have kids I would not be surprised if something is caught in between disc and face or jamming edge of door. (know this from own experience). The face of player can usually be carefully popped off by gently prying at corners. If you get face off you may be able to see if something is stuck in unit that does not belong, or see if a piece is broken loose near face. If unit has door that opens you can try using a slim but stiff piece of plastic and keep tension on door with plastic while hitting eject button. On some units there is a small hole on face that is manual release that ejects disc - even if no power. Usually takes a long straight push in hole (straightened paper clip or dental pick) and it manually pushes gear set to go out. So many of these units are different but most do have a manual release. Check owners manual to see if it shows a picture of face and possible release hole. Have had kids fight over changing a disc and pushed in on it while it was ejecting so it stripped gears, and had kid hang on ceiling mount unit that tore screen totally off. I feel your pain....

Kenwood KDC-119 car stereo problem

There is a small hole at the bottom of the stereo face that will reset the system. I pushed a pen tip into the hole and it turned the stereo off. When I removed the pen, the system turned on and the CD ejected. Problem solved.

Make sure the face of the radio is completely unobstructed. If anything blocks it, the disc will not eject. Another tip is to take a CD while the door is oped and insert it into the unit part way to "trick" the unit into thinking a disc is being loaded. Then unit may be confused and thinks that no disc is inside the radio. Also, disconnecting constant power for at least 15 seconds will often reset the unit.

Ps3 jammed disc

Unfortunately their is no step by step or guaranteed method to fix this. Here are a few things you could try: turning it off and on, press/hold the eject button, resetting while holding the eject button, shaking or tapping it a little while trying to eject it, holding it different ways ex. face disc opening down towards floor while gently tapping and pressing the eject button. Essentially do whatever you can to get the disc to jar loose, >but whatever you do, don't for any reason stick anything in the slot or try to open the case <Doing this will void the warranty for sure! If none of these work your last resort would be to return it for a new one (providing you still have your receipt and it's less than a year old) or take it to a costly repair guy.
