Hobart commercial machines are designed to run with commercial chemicals. There will either be an internal dispenser or an external unit supplied by the chemical supplier. Rinse aid is dispensed directly into the boiler. Detergent to the wash tank. The chemicals used are commercial strength so not required in the same quantity as domestics.

SOURCE: chalky dishes in dishwasher

the problem is hard water. this is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system and it actually filters the water going into the dishwasher. i tried everything to get my dishes clean but nothing worked until i tried this system. my glasses all had a white, cloudy look to them and it was terrible. you can get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com. it is very affordable and works amazing. the filter fits right under the sink and solves the problem immediately. if you use the discount code DFMTEN you will get 10% off

SOURCE: E4 error after attempting to fill and get to temp

This is what I found for the E4 code...hope this helps...and thanks for rating my effort...The Fang.

Machine won't fill or won't fill high enough(LX18, LX30 display shows "E0," "E2," "E3," or "E4")

1.Low water pressure — check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2.Make sure probes are clean.
3.No water pressure — main water supply valves may not be working.
4.Drain valve open - turn machine off to drain machine, then on. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the
OFF-ON procedure.
5. Delime machine.

SOURCE: what does add rinse aid and where do you put it

You don't need rinse aids anymore. It rots the wiring...use FINISH tablets, the rinse aid is built into the tablet.

SOURCE: Cannot unscrew cap on rinse aid compartment in door of Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III

the cap doesn't come off, you just have to open the door all the way. then, when you pour the rinse aid into the dial area, it will get sucked into the dispenser. but if the door isn't open all the way it won't go anywhere and will overflow on you.

There are one or two hi-limit relays on the booster. One is on the front and if there is a second one, it is on the right hand side as you face the front of the unit. They are both manully have to be reset if tripped. Check them and also the booster's contacter

Hobart lx18h fills heats water runs cycle but does not get dishes clean

Hi, there is a build up of junk and mold behind the filter screen and under the cover at the bottom of the dishwasher where you will also find standing water that was not draining.
Clean it up and your dishes will come out clean..

Programming LX18H for TRUE FILL AND DRAIN

The LX18 series was a compromise machine, the lack of a sump heater causes numerous rinse temperature problems due to it's increased water use (over the sump-heater equipped, fresh water rinse LX30 series).

The LX18H can be reprogrammed for true fill and dump operation. If you still need to do this, please let me know via e-mail or post a reply, otherwise a won't post the long answer!
