How do i turn the volume up on a alcatel 2038x

Your phone uses sounds and vibrations to alert you, including ringtones, app notifications, alarms, and navigation feedback. You can customize any of these sounds, as well as control their volumes.
  1. Change default ringtone for incoming calls
  • Touch "Settings" icon from Home screen or under main menu.
  • Touch "Sound".
  • Touch "Phone ringtone." You will see a list of ringtones
  • Touch a ringtone to select and hear it.
  • Touch "OK" to confirm your final selection.

I need to change the volume on a Motorola WT41N0. It's entirely too loud for the space I'm working in.

Change volume settings by selecting
Start>Settings>Control Panel>Volume & Sounds icon >Volume tab.
Move the slider to change the volume level or use volume
control on voice application.

No sound

Turn the volume up. Turn on the Garmin Nuvi. Tap the "Volume" button on the "Where to?" or home screen. Move the slider for the volume up.

Unmute the Garmin Nuvi. Tap the "Volume" icon again. Uncheck the "Mute" option, if it is currently checked.

Make sure the voice is not faulty. The navigation instructions are provided by a voice. To verify whether or not the present voice is faulty, you must switch the voice. Power on the Nuvi and tap the "Tool" icon. Tap "Settings" in the Tool menu. Tap the "Language" option and tap the language you want. Then select another voice to use. Now go back to the home screen and enter an address into the "Where to?" option. See if you can hear sound now.

Update the Garmin Nuvi with WebUpdater. Download and install WebUpdater from the Garmin website (see Resources). Launch WebUpdater on the computer, and connect the Nuvi to the computer with the USB cable. The software will detect the Nuvi and locate all updates for the device. Confirm that you want to update the device when prompted and WebUpdater will download the updates to the Nuvi.

Reset the Garmin Nuvi. A master reset will restore the Nuvi to its factory configurations and delete all favorites and waypoints that have been added. Power off the Nuvi and unplug it from any power source. Hold your finger down on the bottom right corner of the Nuvi screen, at the same time power the device back on. When asked "Do you really want to erase all user data?," remove your finger from the bottom corner of the screen and tap "Yes." The device will reset and sound should be restored.

Hi i have rexently noticed that my phone no longer sends sound to the ear phone jack with the exception of voice calls i have switched the phone off and on but no change. What should i try next thanks

There is different sound setting for voice call and media playback.
If you press volume up key on home screen, it increase the phone call volume but not he music player volume.

You can try to increase sound of media playback. First, open music player or video player and increase the volume through volume up key. You will see media volume written on the Volume increase pop up notification.
If you still have problem, reply.

Accidentally deleted voice nuvi250 garmin maps I have them updated, but can not find the voice, the explanations are in English. please help. thanks

The voice may not be deleted. The procedure below gives describes the steps to get the voice back even if it's deleted.
1. Press the Volume (Speaker symbol) in the bottom right corner and check that the mute box is not ticked. If it is press it and it will be ok. Also check that the volume isn't fully down.
If that doesn't solve the problem it may be because the voice file is not selected or has become corrupted or deleted.

2. Press Tools, then press Settings (or Locale on some models), then press Language. You will see a bar for Voice. Press Voice and select a different voice. If this doesn't solve the problem it's most likely because the voice file has become corrupted or been deleted. To replace the corrupted/deleted file.
3. Download webupdater from http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27 and connect your satnav to your computer. Install webupdater and your satnav will look for updates. After it's finished it will give you an option to download voices. Click the ones you want and press next. The voices selected will be downloaded to your satnav.
When you have removed the satnav from the computer you'll need to select a voice again as described in para 2 above.

Can not get voice comands

if you mean like "turn right on Madison" as an example, you must have the tts voice selected ...that is the computer generated voices...it will not work with human voices....

go in the system setting and go to the voice option, and see if you have any TTS voices...if not, they may have been deleted..if so, go HERE and download the web updater and 1st see if there are any updates, then after that it will give you an option to add voices...just select one or some that are TTS...after there loaded to your gps, go back in the voice option and change it to one of the TTS voices.

if you mean you have no sound at all, post back and i will help you further.

My tom tom one has lost its voice

From the main menu tap preferences.

To change the volume, tap Volume preferences in the Preferences menu. You will probably see a little "speaker" icon with an X through it. Tap this to turn the sound back on.
To change the volume quickly while you are driving, tap the bottom left-hand section of the Driving View and move the slider.

To change the voice, tap Change Voice in the Preferences menu.

My Nuvi 360 volume for the voice prompts is too low, even on the highest setting. I also have a Nuvi 200, and the volume is fine on that unit. But if I get a phone call on my 360, the volume is OK. Is...

It is possible to turn up the voice level...but you have to be willing to hack the voice file a wee bit with a hex editor.
Just Open the .vpm file you want to modify in the hex editor, and search for "<voice_volume>96</voice_volume>" without the quotation marks...and change the numerical value - I have Australian Karen cranked up to 96. This makes the sound level of the voice prompts comparable to the MP3 level when I hook my Nuvi350 into my vehicle's sound system via the added line input that takes the place of the non-existent CD changer. Before I did this, when I played MP3s at a comfotable listening level, the voice prompts were too quiet. Now, they're comparable.
