I got a samsung gt19060 and it does`nt want to except my or any other sim card

Have you inserted a SIM card from a cell carrier, such as AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.? Most phones, except Sprint and Verizon phones require a SIM card to get network access.

Can't figure out exactly what the problem is. Try with the following methods.
1) The SIM card might be damaged. To check this, Try inserting the SIM card into any other active network free phone. If it doesn't work then sure the SIM card is damaged. If it works fine then the SIM card is in good condition.
2) The SIM port on your phone might be damaged. Try inserting any other active SIM card to it. If it doesn't work, then sure the SIM port is damaged. If it work fine, Then the SIM port is in good condition.
3) The phone might be network locked. If the phone doesn't allow any network SIM cards to work with it except any one specific SIM card, Then it is sure network locked. it looks like sim card try is having issue. just change sim card try and it should fix the problem. but if still dont work then you broke on of the pin on sim card holder. check that

Providing you are using the same AirTime supplier (ie, O2 t mobile etc) and your new phone is set up to use the same supplier. Then go to the phone shop and you will get the Puk code from them.

the phone is still the same but when i called customer service the gal said the phone was not compatible with my sim card due to the fact that the phone was to old (obsolete)
