Elmer, If you remove the gun assembly from the machine, if the machine is now not feeding wire, the problem is most likely the gun trigger is faulty. The switch contacts heat up and start sticking over time. If able too disassemble and clean trigger contacts. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

wire around the temp sensor to see if this cures the problem

you have to use the gas 75-25 for steel and cast iron 100% argon for welding alumanuan

you can call the sears repair center and recieve the manual you need but you need the serial number to get it, their number is in the phone book.

You can find the manuals for sale for almost all Craftsman units at sears.com and navigate to the craftsman site and then to customer service parts and enter the model number and they will typically show you a parts breakdown of the unit and also offer replacement manuals for sale. I just checked it and it looks like most of teh parts for it are obsolete. They do not offer an owner's manual. I checked for both since you did not specify which "manual" you need

.04 tips with .04wire with .04 liner etc.........
.025 tips wire .025 wire with .024 liner etc.....

I think most of the older Craftsman welders were made by Century which is now owned by Lincoln Electric Company. If this is a wire feed welder you adjust the wire feed speed so that the arc sounds like eggs frying, the voltage setting (if any) will depend on the thickness of the material you're trying to weld. If it's a stick welder there will just be a current range control that you set depending on the thickness and type of material you're welding.
