1. In settings try to turn up the volume.
2. Using a Q tip and some alcohol make sure the mouth speaker is clear.
3. Check with Telco to make sure the telephone line itself is working properly.

This worked for me. Unplug the power to the base for 10 seconds then plug the power back in. That did it for my "connecting....." problem. Good luck!

SOURCE: My vetech cordless phone is not working

DO you have a 2 line model? If so check and make sure the conf (conference) button is not pushed as it will keep the line off-hook forever. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: my vtech cordless phone will not ring. message is ringer off. how to turn ringer on.

Does your handset have a PROG button? Press that, then press the VOL+ button until you come to RINGER VOL: OFF. Press SELECT button, then use the ^ (VOL+) key until you get the desired volume level. Press SELECT again, then OFF. You're good to go.

Vtech cordless phone. When I call out or receive a call the person on the other line cannot hear me but I can hear them clearly. What to do to fix the problem?

Unplug the battery from the phone (handset) for 1 minute and also do the same for the base simultaneously, replug them and repair the to each other if you have to and then give it a try, also try and clean out the mic holes eat the bottom of the phone and make sure its not on must , do not disturb, or any other feature enabled that a would cause you to have such undesired function. I hope this help and for expert help you can find it here https://www.6ya.com/mr.mike and if you need more help you can always ask another question

My vtech phones show NO LINE; MY OTHER PHONE WORKS

More than likely the phones base station (transmitter) is defective, this is a common failure on Vtech cordless phones, i have owned two and both failed the for the same reason. I also see this problem posted often for Vtech phones.

Our line one cuts out even when we're talking on it & we can just barely hear the person on the line but they can hear us clearly. We have unplugged the phone's power cord & plugged it back in...

I have the same sort of problem...kinda..lol. My Vtech sorta 'cuts out' when there is noise at my hosue. The person I'm talking to can still hear me but I can't hear them. If my son starts crying or there's any other loudish type noises on my end, it's like the phone is trying to cutout my background noise, but all it's cutting out is the person talking to me. It's not that the noises in my house are loud and I jsut can't hear the person I"m talking to, b/c if i cover the mouth peice then no matter how loud the sound in my house is i can still hear the person i'm talking to but I HAVE to keep the mouth peice covered. It's really annoying!

Try turning your volume up on your phone while you are talking. Is this a perticular person? or is it for everyone?

Can't be heard

Sounds like you have a defective microphone in your handset. Maybe caused by dropping of phone or water damage. Try land line phone not cordless. Just to ensure that you can hear the caller and can be heard over your phone line.

If you can complete a call successfully go and purchase another cordless phone.

Phone base set 'in use' led flashes when plugged into the jack

As is usually the case, a very simple solution in the end. Always check every thing even if the info supplied is from a qualified person. The phone came with the wall jack to base cord but it wasn't the origonal one so the phone thought the line was busy because it wasn't receiving any voltage supply as the plug into the base set had transposed 1 with 2 & 3 with 4. Damn I hate it when its that easy. I was talking to another mate about it and he said he had a similar fault to mine & he thought the cord was the issue & he was correct.

Thanks for your time

Brent.
