I have a pioneer receiver elite that is connected to a sony projector. Everything works fine (sound is fine) but there isnt any video output on the projector.

It all worked fine before and I didnt change any settings or messed around with the wires, spent the afternoon trying to figure out what the problem is but still no luck. Please help if you have any idea how to make the projector connect. Thank you!!

SOURCE: No sound from digital out on PS3 using optical cable

Does the end of the optical cable glow red when hooked up to your PS3 while the PS 3 is powered on? Look at it without the cable plugged into the STR-D845.

SOURCE: Is Sony DAV-S500 optical input compatible with optical output from Pioneer DVD player DV-566K?

I don't think this has an Optical but a Coaxial connection. You might try a coaxial audio cable not optical.

SOURCE: Onkyo 805 sub hook up problem

I made the same mistake when i hooked my REL sub up to the back of the 805.

The problem is there are 2 connectors on the back of the amp that are labeled as sub out. Look very closely, you will see that there are 2 grouped RCA outs. The RCA out group you are looking for differentiated by groups of "little white dots" all the way to the far right on the back of the amp. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: no sound with ps3, connected to a 7.1 av receiver & projection tv

Hi...the HT-R800 Home Theater system has the HT-R550 receiver which could only carry Video via HDMI. you would need to connect a separate audio cale(Optical Audio Cable) to be able to get audio out of the PS3 to the receiver. Once you have hooked up an Optical Audio Cable you would need to go in the PS3 setup and putin Bitstream and Optical in the Audio Setup menu.

SOURCE: No Sound on TV/SAT setting on Receiver.

Most TV has Audio Out RCA jack at rear and it gives same TV Sound as coming from its speakers.
Hook audio wire red white RCA pins at TV Out and plug these pins to TV/SAT input of receiver. Select TV/SAT input in receiver to get TV program sound coming out from TV.
Hope that info will help you.

check the audio output settings of your components. THey may be set for dolby digital which your receiver can process but your TV can not. Try PCM stereo setting or "other".

Hook your Xbox to tv via HDMI, then hook TV to reciever through digital optical or composite cables. If you try to get your picture through receiver first, you may get picture and sound but, sound may be delayed and picture might not be the best. Bettter to run through tv first then provide sound to receiver.

Pioneer Elite vsx-27tx receiver with no bass!?

There may be a subwoofer mute function on your amp. The sub out is nothing more than a preamp output with a low frequency response. It is meant to be amplified by an external amp. Either check your powered subwoofer for operation or look through your operators manual for a sub mute function.

No picture, have sound

Sounds like the video cable from the receiver to the projector is disconnected. Check the video output cable on the receiver and the video input on the projector. If they are connected all the way then unplug them and plug them back in to see if that works. If it does not there is probably a break in the cable somewhere or something not set right on the output or input on the receiver.

I have a pioneer 5.1 channel surround sound system and it powers up and everything seems to go fine but you go to turn it up and no sound comes out of the speakers already checked speaker wire connections...

Does the protection relay click 3 to 5 seconds after initial power on??? If not, your unit is staying in "protect" mode to save your speakers because the output transistors or output IC is shorted and sending 40 to 60 volts at your speakers. Not a good thing, but at least it saves your speakers.
Good Luck!
