You need to replace the HDD - it's a quite simple operation and the HDD itself can be bought for less than $50 from every PC shop.

I heard a pop. The TV went off then when I turned it back on the white has red pixels showing. Seems one of the LCD colors went out. Is there a fix. The TV is jsut over a year old.

This is a plasma tv not lcd. The pop mostlikely was a part on the y main board. IF the y-main voltage shifts the set will have red sparkels.
