Since it has an internet connection, I'm sure you could buy a set of connectors that plug into a 110 outlet, one to the ethernet connection on the TV, one to a port on the router. Example:

Do your own search for perhaps better deals on "router extenders through power outlets". Here's one I found:

Anyone having a wlan/wireless problem with a compaq F730us, please report it to HP corporate headquarters and HP/Compaq. The problem is with the mainboard, its a manufacturer problem. Only HP/Compaq can fix this for free, but we have to let them know that the F700 series is also having the same hardware issues as the f500 and other series. Here is a link to hp website so you can see that hp is aware of the problem, we just need to get the f700's added to the list.

SOURCE: connected to wireless network, but cant browse internet.
I think there might be lost in the packet sending.
You said the PC is still connected to the network but not able to go online.
Is there any other wireless computer which is able to go online wirelessly and working fine.
If yes then try to uninstall and reinstall the adapter.
If not then check the router wireless settings.

SOURCE: Cant access internet through wireless network.
if it flashes orange it is trying to connect and detect the internet, if you are connected to your wireless router but no internet check the security keys on the router and the laptop if they are the same, I guess you get the error limited connectivity, and if possible check for programs that could cause your wireless to not get the internet but get connected to the router, check for network magic uninstall the program from your system restart the computer try connecting again.
worst case that can happen is you can try uninstalling the wireless drivers and reinstalling it if the wireless devices gets an error during installation of the driver then you will need to replace your wireless card in your laptop, orange flashing in router meaning it does not detect internet from the modem ^_^

Make sure everything is compatible for the type of wireless network you are using g/b/n and you are using the correct radio frequency. Also make sure you are using the correct wifi dongle for the make of your TV. From what I recall I do remember some of them being proprietary because the TV will have to have pre-loaded drivers for the wireless dongle.
