SOURCE: Armitron Watches
I have a Men's Amitron LCD Chrome Watch which I lost the instructions for setting the
time for the hour and minutes. The date is correct, but we just went off daylight savings
time and I am now an hour ahead of everyone who could turn their watch's hour back.
It has four buttons one on top left and on bottom left
one on top right and on bottom right
I can't seem to find the right combo to change the hour back by one hour??
SOURCE: How to set an Armitron WR330 Watch
he following labels are on the inner ring of the watch; I've given
their positions relative to where numbers would be on the face of an
analog watch.
"ST/STP" is at 2:00; "EL" is at 4:00; "MODE" is at 8:00; and "ADJ" is at 10:00.
To set the time, date, and day of week:
Press and hold in the "MODE" button until the display starts flashing. (This is the alarm time.)
Press the "MODE" button again; the seconds begin flashing. Press "ADJ" to set them to zero.
Press the ""ST/STP" button to change what you want to set. The
options appear in this order each time you press the "ST/STP" button:
minutes, hour, month, day, day of week.
Use the "ADJ" button to change the value of the setting.
Touch "MODE" to save the settings and return to time mode.
The website listed below has many instruction sheets, but does NOT have instructions for this watch as of 25 December 2008.

The padded vise trick from the other thread worked for me.
SOURCE: I have a Armitron musical
The special watch that you are having has two important parts, the first is the quartz processor/controller unit which generates the clocking signal to trigger the small stepper motor that moves the time mechanism to move the hands.
The second part is the chiming section wherein there is a chips that is embedded with a musical data memory with a small amplifier and micro buzzer/speaker.
Now within the mechanism the chime comes on when the mechanism triggers the chiming circuits as and when it is required, the time or the alarm.
Since al these are very micro which needs good experience , It can be handled only by an expert as the investigation must be very systematic to understand the reason of the drain on the cell.
A good cleaning might sometimes cure the fault, it can also be that the chime circuit is draining . But these can be confirmed with a CURRENT drain test with a series micro ammeter.
So finally I would like you to consult the nearest Armitron service centre who might have the spares than to have someone hunt around after even identifying the fault.
Check for details from the official site of Armitron.

A replacement battery has be the compartible brand serial number to the watch may be new howevr least capable of displaying an functionality. Second, the new battery should not have been mixed up with the old in the process of performing the changes else the wrong one was returned into the watch. Reinspect the old and new batteries. Third, the battery has to be firmly placed into the socket area before current supply runs through the watch, perform an shuffle around within the socket to acquire is the new battery placement was least in firm grip at placement. Refering to the watch user guide on the placement of batteries to the watch is useful. Finally, consult with technician when necessary.
