It could be a bad main however I would agree the chances of it being a bad panel a better possibility. Try unhooking one cable at a time that goes from the tcon to the panel board and see if you get half a picture, if you do your panel is defective but there may be a way to fix that. If you find half the picture works with one connector unhooked message me and I'll get you some instructions on how to make the set work again

You reports that you've changed the T'Con board. Where is the T'Con board to a Plasma TV? There is no such board to any plasmas. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. You can also click the [Home] tab to see the latest updates. It will make search easy. There are more than 1350 posts to different brand TVs now. Just replace the T-Con board and you dont need any soldering at all. JUst be careful for the flex connector.

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.
Do flashlight test to see if y0ou can see an image - if so replace the inverter board that powers backlights. If no image then go for the main board.
