SOURCE: Scanner blocks when scanning a bar-code
the metrologic scanner you are talking about has a barcode in the maual under the keyboard wedge section it is called stand alone keyboard this will cure your problem when you scan it. the reason being it fools the scanner into thinking there is a keyboard connected. hope this helps Pete
SOURCE: NOT SCANNING CORRECTLY
I'm guessing you are using the USB version and the power that comes from the comuter via the USB cable.
It is quite likely that the problem you are having is due to power sag. .500ma is the limit from P.C. s
Do you have a 15 foot cord on there? If so try a 6 foot cord. Sagging still occurs with a 6 foot cable ...but only half as much. If the problem goes away you are on the right track.
I have a cable (I should say Motorola has a cable) with a separate power supply that should fix the problem.
SOURCE: Symbol HotShot LS2106 sounds like it's scanning, but no display
If you are using a USB to PS/2 converter on the end of the USB cable then it won't work. You will need to get a PS/2 cable made for this scanner. I can supply you with one if you need it.
SOURCE: my mc3070 motorola scanner won't
MC3070 is equiped with 802.11b/g radio so the WLAN connection should, do you see any WLANs available in the Find WLans dialog?
The Find Wlans dialog can you open through an icon of the Fusion application in the right corner.
For scanning would you need an software, usually is a demo software preinstalled. You could find it in the Application Folder. The demo software is called ScanSample or ScanWedge.
You can also download an application called DataWedge from the support.symbol.com website
