Hi, I know its been over a year but if we had the same problem, it was solved by twisting the timer knob located on the bottom left hand corner. This changes the symbols in the red patch. For me, the red patch showed the number 0 and once that was changed to a hand symbol or no bell symbol, the noise stopped

SOURCE: Moved to house with a Simpson Neptune oven (analogue clock)

Try this. For the 720ef , this is what you need to do.
There are five buttons on the clock panel and from left to right they are:- Minute Minder, Cook time, Ready Time, Plus and Minus.
TO SET THE TIME OF DAY
Press the Cook Time button and the Ready Time button simultaneously. Use the Plus and Minus buttons to set the time.(24hr clock).
TO SELECT AN ALARM TONE.
Press the Minus button to listen to the first tone. Release it and press it again to listen to the second tone etc (3 tones)
Releasing the button after the tone has sounded will automatically set that tone.
SETTING THE MINUTE MINDER.
Press the Minuter Minder button and either the Plus or Minus buttons simultaneously to set the time.
You can cancel the timer at any time by setting it back to 00.00 by using the Minus button.
After setting, the display will revert to the time of day, but by pressing the Minute Minder button again, the display will show the remaining time.
If you want all the information, then it is best if you supply a vaild email address and this will give you access to my BT Digital Vault, where you can have a complete copy of the handbook that I have scanned in.

I have a Simpson 63-616 oven and would like disable the timer and alarm

Normally, it would just be a case of buying a new timer, but this model is so old, very few spares are available. You would need to look at the wiring behind the timer and see if you can just bypass it altogether. You could try Simpson / Electrolux direct for a timer, wiring diagram, or suggestions. Contact details are in this page.

I need a owners manual for Simpson Concorde fan forced oven?

I recently helped a friend fix the oven in his secound home, turned out the timer was shot. But, in order to find this out, we had to pull the oven from the wall, and there was a wiring diagram in an envelope on the back of the oven. That is all that it took to figure out the problem.

Simpson Neptune, atlas series electric oven isn't working.

Hi If you have Simpson Neptune 3U 602 then it may be to do with the timer function. This also happened with my oven.

There is a red section on the face of the clock. The oven seems to work if it shows the hand icon. I'm not sure what it symbolises yet, as it's a new oven for me, but it is now working. You can change the icons by turning the left nob left and right. Hope this helps.

First of all, thank you very much Lindsay for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.

I'm Joe, and I will be more than happy to assist you with your service request.

Unfortunately a User's Manual for that particular SIMPSON appliance is no longer available.

However the problem is most likely that your TIMER has been set to AUTO which will prevent the oven from functioning. The timer needs to be set in the MANUAL mode.

Here are a few links to some other online resources which describe the various procedures for setting the clock and switching the timer mode which may help with your particular problem:

I truly apologize Lindsay for not being able to provide you with the exact support documentation that you requested, but unfortunately on occasion the desired material is simply not available online.

I still hope this was at least somewhat helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

Have shifted house, my Simpson Apollo ceramic oven won't work. The elements are fine. The timer and auto lights are flashing. I can't seem to make it stop. I have no user guide to help fix this error,...

The timer needs to be set to manual mode for the oven to work. Turn the oven control on. Play with the buttons on the timer. Try all combinations. It may take 5 or more minutes. When the oven indicator light comes on you will know it is on manual and the oven is working.

Timer is making ticking noise cant turn it off.

My same oven makes a ticking sound when you tell it to start pre-heating the oven. The oven continues to make this ticking sound until you stop the oven and it completely cools down. This ticking sounds to be coming from the oven control panel. I have no solution, but I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had a problem with this ticking sound!
