Probably the last update was not applied correctly or it was corrupted.
Please, try this:
1) Place the GPS on the cradle connected to the
computer and start TomTom Home.
2) Turn the GPS on and connect it to the computer.
3) Erase the downloaded
software (using the "remove items" from the TomTom home software)
4) Choose "disconenct device" from the drop down menu of
TomTom Home
after the GPS powers down and restarts, press the RESET button on the button (keep it pressed for 7 seconds)
5) Repeat setps 1-2 from above. When TomTom Home detects your GPS, it will offer to update it. If it doesn't, choose "update device" from the TomTom Home buttons
