Why my sylvania sdvd 1332 does not play? It boots, but the disc does not play.

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

The power cord is disconnected or there is no power to the outlet. Check the cord and outlet. The protection circuit is activated. Unplug the power cord and plug it back in. There may be loose strands of wire touching the back of the receiver and triggering the protection circuit. Remove any excess wire from behind the receiver.

This machine has no built-in optical disc on this machine.
You can either purchase a USB driven DVD drive or put a copy of the disc on a USB memory stick.
You will need to change the BIOS to boot from either of these devices. Try F2 on boot up.

Take it back to the SONY STORE, and exercise the WARRANTY to get it replaced. Take one of the "bad" DVD disks along with you, to demonstrate the problem.

I have a Sylvania SDVD 1030 and it does not read the disc at all! I pop in a dvd and nothing happens. I press play on my controller and it just continues to say OPEN. I can't watch anything!
