SOURCE: My computer won't boot and the CyberPower 825 AVR makes a continuous sound.

It sounds as though the UPS is not receiving power. Check that it's cable is properly plugged into the wall. Also verify that it's internal ground fault interrupter has not tripped, it's usually a little red button on the back of the unit, it should be pressed in and should stay that way, if it pops out then there is a problem with the ground of your electrical outlet. Also check that the breaker for that electrical has not tripped at your fuse box.

Since the UPS is not receiving power the batteries have discharged and that is why your computer cannot start, there is not enough juice from the UPS to boot it. That is also why it is making a noise as most UPS's sound an alarm to indicate that they are not connected to power.

There is a chance that the batteries in your UPS have gone bad or that something has become faulty in your UPS. Try plugging your computer and monitor directly to the wall bypassing the UPS to see if they work fine.

SOURCE: This TV constantly shuts itself off.

The issue has been resolved. I removed the back of the TV (pretty easy actually) by laying a blanket over the kitchen table and placing the TV face down. I started with the power supply as an obvious beginning. Both fuses on the board tested fine. And touched up every solder joint with a hot soldering iron in case the problem was a cold solder joint. After this painstaking venture, I performed another visual inspection and noticed a capacitor that had a thin black X on the top of the can. This is a common sign the capacitor has over heated. I located a replacement for $1.20, installed, and successfully powered up the TV. I have had no problems since.
Oh, yeah, I also paid $120 for a BN44-00150A replacement power supply, plus overnight shipping. It actually arrived three weeks later. That was two weeks and six days after I fixed the power supply myself.

SOURCE: my gps tom tom turns itself on waht could be

If you search for "TomTom turns itself on", you will find that there appears to be a problem which TomTom will not acknowledge. Mine always turns itself back on exactly (to the minute) one week after being switched off and runs the battery down. Tomtom have got me to reformat and had it back for repair but the problem remains

Power goes on and then off

You likely have some failed electrolytic capacitors in the A/C to D/C power supply, The set detects the voltages produced are incorrect, or there is an overload{likely the backlight CCFL tubes}so the power supply protects itself [and you] from smoking self-destruction.
If you feel technically inclined, you can remove the back panel and do a visual inspection for leaky, bloated or popped capacitors. Replace with low-ESR of the same voltage/capacitance and size.

I need to reprogram my tom-tom one and change who it belongs to as well as the address.

On the map display touch the screen once

Look for the spanner / wrench icon and touch that once.

Kepp using the Right arrow until you see RESET FACTORY SETTINGS

Touch YES.

That should make it as you bought it.

TomTOm Go 720 turns itself on whilst in the case and without being moved or touched at all. What can cause this?

There is no solution and TomTom does not car. I got a XL325 for Christmas. It turned itself on and if we didn't catch it in time it runs the battery down. Went through all sort of repairs with customer service (haha) uninstall and reinstall, repair scans, etc, Finally in April they had me send it in for repair and I got a XL320 refurbished one in return. Well, guess what it did the same thing and I had to go through all of the same things, I've spent hours on the phone with them. Well in June they told me to send it back and this time I got a XL310 in return. I think each time it is a cheaper model. Well, you guessed it this one turns itself on also. It doesn't matter where it is in the house or car, if it is not used it turns itself on. DO NOT BUY A TOM TOM, DO NOT BUY A TOM TOM.

No settings memory, turns on by itself?

Sounds like your set has a bad eprom. This is the brain that stores all the settings and sends information to the microprocessor to make things happen. If you do not know how to replace it you should take it to a qualified tech to repair it.
