Question about Samsung Computers & Internet

I have a Samsung #UN55ES6100 LED 55" TV the issue I am having is that I have sound but do not have a picture.

But if I look at the screen a certain way I can see the images in the back ground do you happen to know what the problem is. jc@wallingtonplumbingsupply.com

Hi,

this could be several reasons. Mainly could be due to screen backlight failure. I would advise you to take it to a repairman.

What you are sseing is a convergence problem within the light engine of the set. This is not repairable in teh field other than replacing the light engine part. Since this unit is less than one year old, it should be covered under warranty. From the looks of it, one of the LCD panels has shifted internally. Call for warranty service and indicate that the light engine has a problem. With luck, the service company will show up with the part in hand. Replacement should not take more than an hour or so.

Your issue really requires greater troubleshooting. I could begin to explain the multitude of possibilties but the list would be lengthy. You will be better served to call dish and ask for a service call. If you have the home protection plan it may cost you 29.99 for the tech to come out. If you do not have the protection plan it could be added at the time you contact dish. Ensure you call 1-800-333-3474 to get accurate information. This is Dish Network's Customer service line and not a third party such as a a retailer. Th e problem could be the LNB,foilage,cabling, connectors, groundblock, etc....

I have a Samsung 55" LED TV (un55es6100) and the red color is flaring up. Green/Blue are perfectly normal. All other tv functions are normal. Can someone please help me figure out what to replace?


Are you using component cables or HDMI? If component, make sure your red, green and blue are pushed in all the way. Too, make sure your red audio is not the red video. If hdmi is used try a new one. If these do not help unplug your t.v for 10-20 seconds and plug it back in. All else fails reset your t.v to default factory settings.

Why do my Samsung LED TV turn on with correct sound but don't have picture. The screen stays black. I've already changed my power supply card by a new one?


If TV menu comes on try another source via hdmi could be a source issue with hdcp or copy guard issues. Sound isn't copy guarded but picture is.

Having power issues


Look at the power supply board for capacitors that have gotten "puffy" on the top. That indicates a failed part. Shopjimmy.com has repair kids.
