Question about Samsung Cell Phones

1 Answer

I have a Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus. In My Files/Device Storage there is a Folder called Navigon, 430MB containing 8 folders & 260 files. Can I just delete it?

This is because I need more storage space. If I just delete it, would that cause problems? There is no Navigon app, just the folder, so I do not know what its function is.

I don’t know if this is relevant but I have an app called Navigation, but this is not listed under Application Manager, which seems strange. I wonder if they are connected.

Some times this will help
go to settings, go to apps, click on program and clear data or soemthing like that. it should tell you how much space it is taking up and one deleted it should update the total space. and the thing is you can do this to all the apps but one at a time

SOURCE: My HTC P4350 is running low on free storage space

The system have used nearly the maximum internal memory available: Storage: Total 33.45 MB; In Use: 32.80 MB; Free: 0.66 MB Program.

If you already deleted or moved to memory card your files, that means that the space is taken by installed application/games, or by files left over by previously installed applications.

Save all your files on computer and do a complete reset of the HTC, restoring system to factory settings.

My garmin 530hcx has locked up on the opening screen...is there a master reset sequence? I have removed the batteries and still won't work! Also, it won't shut off once turned on and locked...

f a device is locking up and has a long noise or beep when powering down, this is due to hidden data being transferred to the microSD data card. These hidden files and folders are being created by the computer and sent to the data card in addition to the maps, waypoints, routes, tracks and pictures that were selected. The following GPS units could experience this issue.
  • eTrex Legend Cx
  • eTrex Legend HCx
  • eTrex Venture Cx
  • eTrex Vista Cx
  • eTrex Vista HCx
  • GPSMAP 60Cx
  • GPSMAP 60CSx
  • GPSMAP 76Cx
  • GPSMAP 76CSx
  • Rino 520HCx
  • Rino 530HCx
To prevent this issue when the device is shutting down delete these extra unused or hidden files and folders from the data card. Examples of these folders are: .Trashes and .Spotlight-V100 folders. Since the Mac OS adds hidden files and folders to mounted removable drive volumes this process cannot be done on a Mac and will need to be done after every time the data card is mounted as a volume on a Mac.
To delete these folders the device will have to be placed into USB Mass Storage mode. To do this:
  1. Connect the device to the computer using the USB cable
  2. Go to the Main Menu
  3. Select Setup
  4. Select Interface
  5. Select USB Mass Storage Mode
The device is now in USB Mass Storage Mode. At this time a window should open on the computer desktop displaying Removable Disk at the top. The Garmin folder will be displayed. Open the Garmin folder.
Do NOT delete the the following files:
  • gmapsupp.img
  • gmapsupp.unl
  • gmapsupp.gma
These files contain supplemental mapping. If delete will cause the mapping to be erased or unviewable.
If there are other folders or files on the data card, delete these. Some of these files or folders may be hidden and therefore will need to be unhidden*. Once you have done so, please disconnect the device from the computer and power it up.
*Note: To Display a file folder that is hidden:
  1. Select the Tools option on the window that appears on the computer when the device is in USB Mass Storage Mode
  2. Select Folder Options
  3. Select View
  4. Open the Files and Folders folder
  5. Open the Hidden Files and Folders folder
  6. Select Show hidden files and folder
  7. Select Apply
  8. Select OK
Once all of the hidden files and folders have been removed from the microSD Card the unit will not

I what to dowuload game form pc to my pspgame so how can i do it pls

Here are the steps to follow:

1) Insert a Memory Stick into the Memory Stick slot in the left side of the PSP. Depending on how many files you want it to hold, you may need to get a larger one than the stick that came with your system.

2) Turn on the PSP.

3) Plug a USB cable into the back of the PSP and into your PC or Mac. The USB cable needs to have a Mini-B connector on one end (this plugs into the PSP), and a standard USB connector on the other (this plugs into the computer).

4) Scroll to the "Settings" icon on the home menu of your PSP.

5) Find the "USB Connection" icon in the "Settings" menu. Press the X button. Your PSP will display the words "USB Mode" and your PC or Mac will recognize it as a USB storage device.

6) Create a folder called "PSP" on the PSP Memory Stick (if there isn't one already) -- it shows up as "Portable Storage Device" or something similar -- (you can use Windows Explorer on a PC, or Finder on a Mac). There should also be a folder called "MP_ROOT" (not inside the "PSP" folder).

7) If they aren't there already, create folders called "PHOTO" and "MUSIC" inside the "PSP" folder. There also should be a folder called "100MNV01" inside the "MP_ROOT" folder.

8) Drag and drop files into the folders just as you would save files in another folder on your computer. Image files go in the "PHOTO" folder, audio files go in the "MUSIC" folder, and video files go in the "100MNV01" folder.

9) Disconnect your PSP by first clicking on "Safely Remove Hardware" on the bottom menu bar of a PC, or by "ejecting" the drive on the Mac (drag the icon into the trash). Then unplug the USB cable and press the circle button to return to the home menu.

This should help you to move those files.

How do i move multiple files from phone to memory card? Looks like I have to move photos one at a time!!!

Connect the phone to the PC as a mass storage device. Use the file manager. Open the folder images or whatever you have on LG. Select as many files you want from Options->Mark. Once selected, options->Move. You would be given a chance to specify the target folder. here you can select any folder on the PC. And send all files in one go.
Similarly, when the phone is connected to the PC as a mass storage device, use My Computer and open the phone's folder that contains images. Now the procedure is the same as above. Select as many files and copy/move them and then go to the target folder and paste them there.
You can even use bluetooth to send all marked files to the PC via bluetooth. But for this you have to connect the phone to the PC through bluetooth.
