Try unplugging the power cord for 60 seconds and plugging it back in. We had the same problem and that worked the first time we tried it. The problem is back and, after some frustration, the manufacturer recommend updating the software. Contact your local Mitsubishi service rep. to obtain updated software and instructions. Good luck!

SOURCE: Mitsubishi sent me upgrade pluged in in my 65inch

I worked for a repair shop that did authorized repairs--seen this before.

Some info for you, the set has two resets (other than the one on the front if there) One is the soft reset: set on: Menu, 1,2,3, enter.

The second I do not have but the set has it (my information for that does not cover this model) It is also done with the remote and a 4 number code that when done restores set to factory and it may or may not help if the software was altered.

Try the 1,2,3 method as it will not hurt and could help.

Any authorized Mitsubishi dealer will be able to call up the hard reset code and let you try it----YOU NEED TO DO EITHER WITH THE Mitsubishi remote.

Replace service cords, as they might be getting worn and loose. It does sound like that to me. Bad coaxial cables
