Alpine ine-s920hd keeps shutting off after a few minutes of starting the truck and i also noticed my backup camera is really dark. Help.

If your Alpine INE-S920HD head unit keeps shutting off after a few minutes of starting the truck and your backup camera appears dark, it could indicate a power or wiring issue. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the power connections: Ensure that the head unit's power and ground connections are secure and properly connected. Make sure there are no loose or damaged wires. Check the fuse for the head unit to ensure it is not blown.
Verify the power source: Confirm that the power source you are using for the head unit is stable and providing sufficient voltage. Consider checking the vehicle's battery and alternator to ensure they are in good working condition.
Inspect the wiring for the backup camera: Check the wiring connections for the backup camera, including the power and video cables. Ensure that they are securely connected and not damaged. A loose or faulty connection could cause the camera to appear dark.
Adjust camera settings: The dark image from the backup camera could also be due to incorrect camera settings. Check the settings menu on the head unit to adjust the brightness, contrast, or other image-related settings for the backup camera.
Reset the head unit: Perform a factory reset on the Alpine INE-S920HD head unit. Refer to the user manual or contact Alpine customer support for specific instructions on how to reset the head unit.

Alpine head unit CDE-9870 will not play sound through speakers of a 2003 pontiac vibe. what could be some issues to cause this?

This generation of Vibe may have the upgraded audio system installed from the factory. In order to get the audio from an aftermarket radio to play through the factory amp, the factory remote turn-on lead must be located. If you are using an adapter harness, it may have the wire installed, just attach the blue/white stripe wire from the Alpine to the blue or blue/white stripe wire on the aftermarket harness adapter.

I have an early Ipod classic 60 gb that won't workwith my Alpine

Try looking in you itunes folder for a previous version of the software for your ipod if it worked before. The old copies are saved, unless you deleted those folders also. If you deleted them try searching the web for the old software.

IPOD is hanging but can't be reset.

i would try reformatting your ipod to factory specs (can be easily done with itunes following the information provided at mac.com)

to reset the ipod, turn it off, then on -- then hold down the 'menu' key while pressing the center 'click' key until you get the apple logo. this just may solve the problem.

No sound to the in car speakers from my alpine cda-9827 cd player

What kind of car did you install this in? Did it have a factory radio in it? If I had to take a guess I would think that there is a factory amp that you may have hooked the blue wire from the alpine deck to. If this is the case when you switch to CD the alpine deck turns off the power to the power antenna lead(blue wire) and thus your factory amp. If this is the case hook the factory amp turn on to the blue and white wire and you should be good to go.
