SOURCE: My playstation 3 shut down and won't turn back on

hi, the flashing red light is telling you that the ps3 has over heated and has shut down, here is a list of things you should do to try and solve your problem.

1. switch it off at the plug and remove all wires and leave it off till you have done the following.
2. have a good look at the air vents on the console and check they are free from dust or fluff, you can use a vac to vac out all the air vents to ensure no dust or fluff is stopping the air circulating around your ps3.
3. make sure your ps3 is on a flat surface and not being used whilst its on carpet.
4. never put your ps3 on top of anything like dvd player or sky/cable box, your ps3 needs to bo on its own with nothing near it that gives off any heat if its on a shelf this shelf needs to be open so air can circulate around the whole of the ps3.
5 plug back in all the wires make sure you ps3 has been off for at least 30 min and unplugged from the mains for this time, plug it all back in and then make sure your ps3 is on flat even surface then switch it on and see if it will come back on, if it does then make sure your ps3 is cleaned regular and all the vents are free from fluff or dust.

If it dont work then switch it off and unplug for 30min then stand the ps3 on its side and then try switching it back on.

if it still dont work then this is a clear sign damage has been caused due to over heating, now when you switch it on check if you can hear the fan coming on if you cant then this means the fan has over heated due to dust build up and this has then caused damage to the processor.
if you hear the fan come on but your ps3 still dont come on then this points towards the processor being damaged due to over heating and this will then need replacing.

if this is the case then you need to check if you have any warranty left on your ps3 and if you do take it back to where you bought it from and tell them whats happening and they will then exchange it for a new one.

if your warranty has ran out then the chances are the fan in your ps3 is the old type and its not up to the job of keeping the ps3 cool enough to stop it over heating, the problem with the old type of fan is that if dust builds up it will cause the fan to stop cooling and this then causes the processor to over heat, so what your going to need to do now is get your ps3's circuit board tested to find out the exact fault and to also see if their are any more faults as the cost of repair can be quite high.

if their are a couple of things wrong with it then the cost of repair would be more than the price of a new ps3 so you will need to get a quote on the best price and then decide what you need to do.

hopefully after giving the ps3 a good clean and let it cool down it should be working but if the damage has all ready been done then this is going to need new parts.

Kenwood KR-V7080 receiver. No sound from rear speaker amp connections

Hi,

please check the wires of the speaker for damage. If interchangeable with the other working speakers, please temporarily swap them at check if the good speakers continue to work. If so, then you would need to most likely get the rear speaker replaced or repaired.

Thank you.

KR-V6050 I cannot get audio to work on radio, video or any other setting. Also the red standby light stays on all the time, even when the power switch is turned off. Alan

Check the input / output connections are in the correct places. The red standby will stay on when the unit is off showing that it is ready for use. To confirm, turn the power off at the wall. The red light should go out after a few seconds.

Kenwood KR-V7080 reciever will not play through speakers.I can still plug headphones into the reciever and get audio but not through the speakers. Tested the speakers and they still work.

If the speakers used to switch off when the headphone plug was put in the socket, suspect the socket it goes into as being the trouble. It is clearly not connecting the speakers, when the headphone plug is removed.

Can the Kenwood KR-4600 connect to an ipod?

Hi,yes you can connect Kenwood KR-4600 to an ipod.

Instruction..

You will need an coolken_9.jpgRCA cable .

Connect the RCA (red and black to the input of the Kenwood KR-4600...You have options of inputs to use..

Either input at the back of the Kenwood KR-4600,or tape A and tape B..which ever you wan to use..

After connecting the red and black RCA to Kenwood KR-4600, then connect the other jack end to the ipod, and go the front of the Kenwood KR-4600 to activate the input selection knob to the desired input being selected at the back of the Kenwood KR-4600..

And don't forget to turn on the volume of the Kenwood KR-4600 and also the iPod volume..

And after that your done..

Good luck to you..

How do I hook up my HD TV to the kenwood kr-v7080 so I can hear stereo TV ?

Maybe hook up the actual source of the TV audio (not necessarily the TV) directly to the Kenwood. Cable and SAT boxes have nice standard digital audio outputs. They're wasted on TV's which typically have sucko speakers. Lower-end analog audio is also available if you want to watch Cable/SAT throught the TV speakers.
