I have a Dyson V8. It is fully charged, when I press the trigger it shows 3 blue lights and then shows one. It doesn't turn on at all. Anybody got any ideas? I've only used it a few times.

Hi Yvonne, A flashing blue indicates that the battery is charging. No light indicates the battery is fully charged. A flashing red light indicates that there is a fault,
less than a year old , it should be under warranty so take it in for a warranty repair
if you touch it then that is an unauthorized repair and any warranty will be void
not trying to be a smart a** but which of the two do you have?
1. A flashing blue light indicates that the battery is running low on charge.
2. A fast flashing blue light indicates no power or a temporary fault (e.g. check filter or for blockages).
FYI....A solid blue light indicates that the battery is charging. No light indicates the battery is fully charged. A solid amber light indicates that the battery is not charging due to a temporary fault (e.g. too hot/cold). A flashing red light indicates that there is a fault, call the Dyson Helpline.
Best to you.
The issue you're describing with your DC59 sounds very unusual, but I'm sure we can help. Like all Dyson cordless and handheld vacuums, DC59 is backed with our 2-year Dyson parts and labour guarantee.
When you have your machine fully charged and easily to hand, please give us a call so we can talk you through some simple diagnostic checks. You can reach us by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).
From what you've described, it sounds as if you may be using your DC59 set to Boost mode. This will provide 6 minutes of highest suction for really stubborn dirt, but for regular vacuuming normal mode should work effectively.
To switch back to normal mode, ensure your machine is fully charged (this will take a maximum of 3.5 hours), then hold down the on/off trigger, and at the same time, press the illuminated Boost button on the rear of the machine.
