Have you burned the recorded files to DVD using some DVD burning software tools after recording? You can't just put the files to DVD and this won't make the DVD playable. You can try Leawo DVD Creator which can burn a playable DVD.
You can finalise any disk on a computer as this will close out the session and make it playable. If you software wont directly let you directly finalise it, then copy the files to the computer and then burn them as a video disk. Nero will do this.

Press the menu button on your remote - go to finalize disc - follow instructions. Note that VR discs can be played with many if not most DVD-players without finalizing. In fact I have had problems finalizing and unfinalizing discs back and forth. If the disc manager displays only unfinalize disc, the disc is already finalized.

Some tv's are not capeable of reading Rewritable disks. By finalising the disk you are basically making it a non re-writable and thus allowing your other tv to read it.

I was advised to try another make of blank discs. I bought Sony discs & they worked ok. I had been using supermarket own brand.
