SOURCE: Fujitsu fi-5750c Flatbed Scanner need to

The back panel of the scanner should have a USB connection to the right of the SCSI ID selection switch (the farthest right on the back). Just get from any source a standard male/male A/B USB cable.

Then get the correct drivers here: http://www.fujitsu.com/global/support/computing/peripheral/scanners/drivers/twain/v921720c.html . Additional software may be found here: http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/computing/peripherals/scanners/support/drivers-downloads_index.html

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Can't remove the glass on my Canon 8000F scanner

What you will need
A - magnetic screw driver
B - glass cleaner
C - Flat blade dinner knife the sort that where around 30 to 40 years ago with the plastic ivory looking handles they have a round edge at the end that type
C - Patience

To clean the platen on the Canon 8000f
1. Take the lid off
2. At the bottom of the post holes remove the 2 small screws
3. Turn scanner over and remove the 2 screws underneath
4 this is were patience comes in and the flat bladed knife insert the blade at the corner and twist gently you will notice at the back centre 3 clips holding the black section of plastic in place the black plastic cover shoud pop off with gentle twisting of the knife blade
5. Whe the black plastic cover pops it's then a matter of sliding the platen backwards.
6. Clean glass with Amway Cryastal Clear or Windowlene
7. Then work backwards to replace the parts magnet screw driver is a help here.
8. Done
9. I figured that if you break the tabs being a bit to heavy handed don't worry because its held in place with 4 screws and the way the plastic is designed
10. Patience is the key as well as those plastic clips at the back.
11. Oh and don't forget to unplug it first
12. A nice clean Scanner
13. Had a problem with loading the latest software from Canon (Win7)drivers it would load and then run but would then disappear, Toolbox 4.1 won't load when you use your disc, I'm not sure what I did but I eventualy got the Toolbox 4.1 to load from the disc by finding the application on the disc and running that, it seemed to be hit and miss because I tried several times.

How to clean the underside of the glass in a HP scanjet 2400

Hi ,
You probably already found this :
http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/performMaintDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=297429&spf_p.tpst=psiContentDisplay&spf_p.prp_psiContentDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c01275864-2%257CdocLocale%253Den_US&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken
According to it , you should normaly contact a HP technician to have the job done . Nevertheless , I succeeded to clean the underside of the glass inside a HP Scanjet 5470C wich seems similar to your model 2400 . If you take of the lid of the unit , you should find two screws in the opening of the hinges . Unscrew them and lift up the the whole top of the unit . You might encounter somme kind of resistance during the operation but I finally succeeded to get the it free that way .
Best regards .

Why is there a line on the left side of my copy when I use the ADF on my Canon Image Clas D1150? It does not do it when the flatbed is used. Please help. Thanks, Joann

When lines appear on copies of documents fed through the ADF, it typically means that there is some kind of dirt or foreign material on the glass that the document passes over. A different window is used when scanning from the ADF as opposed to the flatbed. The flatbed window is large, often much larger than a standard sheet of paper. The ADF window, on the other hand, is small and slender. It doesn't need to be large because the document moves over it (as opposed to the flatbed, where the document is stationary while the scanner moves under it).

The ADF window is usually situated next to the flatbed glass on the side of the scanner where the ADF takes in the paper. Open the scanner lid (as though you were going to make a copy on the flatbed) and find the slender piece of glass just under where the ADF would be when the lid is closed. Once you've located the ADF glass, use a mild glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth to gently clean the surface of the glass. If you are able to see the foreign material, you can remove it by hand, but be sure to clean the glass thoroughly afterwards, as fingerprints can also cause poor quality copies.

After the glass has been cleaned, test the ADF copy function and make sure the line has disappeared. If it has not, you may need to remove the slender glass and clean the underside (though this is almost never required, as the underside is protected from environmental debris).

If you find this solution helpful, please leave a positive rating!

Use of Scanner

On this model there is a SCAN in black and white or color buttons but you need to have something on the glass to scan. Once it scans it prints!!!

Now lexmark software if installed comes with a program to scan with. you need to check under your prgrams folder under lexmark for the scanning software that was installed with the print driver.

If you open the lid and you do not see the white light chances are your scanner has and needs a bulb inside and at the point to install one of these you might want to concider a new printer.

Please be considerate and leave your feedback and comments and ratings before you leave, Thanks

Why is it making noise every time i turn on power

If the noise is a high pitched whirrrrr, it is the scanner warming up and getting ready for the scan job. If it clunks, or the noise "sounds bad", make sure the "Lock" is not engaged on the bottom of the scanner.

Getting a black strip in copy mode on X6575 lexmark printer. No line in print or test mode

Most likely a page was scanned with 'white out' (Liquid Paper), still wet on the page. As the page feeds over the scanner, (a narrow strip of glass that runs across the width of the page along the feed path) the wet liquid paper comes off on the glass as a thin line and dries. Thereafter, when copying, the scanner light does not go through the liquid paper streak and the result when printed is a thin vertical line that runs the full length of the page.

If this is your problem: follow the path that the paper travels when sending a fax or making a copy, until you find the scanner (narrow glass strip). Take a clean, soft cloth and a small amount of methylated spirit (or white spirit) and remove the now dried Liquid Paper from the glass. Clean the whole strip ensuring that the glass is left clean and dry.

I accidently disconnected my lexmark x6100 printer from my compuer I don't have the software, how can I reconnect to my computer?

I don't understand the problem. Disconnecting a printer is no different from switching it off. When you switch it back on it's still there. Just the same if you reconnect it.
I'm disconnecting and reconnecting printers all day and there's no problem at all.

Disassembly of HP ScanJet 4470c.

You remove the panel that holds the control buttons by putting a small flat head screwdriver under the both outside edges (held by two small pins). Be carefull the ribbon cable does not unplug. After removing the two screws that are under the back hindge slots, the whole top pivots up and off of pins at the front. You feed the panel thru the hole left when you removed it. This frees up the top and the glass on both sides can be cleaned. Hold the glass up to a strong light to be sure it is clean before putting everything back in reverse order
