Hi, My Jitterbug flip phone will not charge up.

I have a three month old Jitterbug flip phone. It worked great until last week when I noticed the blue charge light would not stop blinking.I checkee all the connections and everything was plugged in properly but my screen was black and it just seemed dead.I tried bypassing the base charger and plugged the power cord straight into the phone but still it will not hold a charge.I am 73 years old and I had really come to depend on my new little phone.Help ,please. Thanks, Bill Wiese

Do you know anyone with a similar Jitterbug?

It would help tremendously if you would try charging your battery in someone else's charger.
If the battery charges then your charger is the problem and not the battery. Useful to know.

I am assuming you have wiped all the contacts with alcohol or contact cleaner, to remove any thin film that might be interfering with electric conduction.

Quite often that persistently blinking charge light indicates a battery that has reached the end of its useful life.

If you buy a new battery be certain to charge it at least 14 hours before you ever put it into the phone.

I repair a lot of digital cameras, watches, cell phones, etc. And contacts that need cleaning or degreasing are quite common.]

SOURCE: roomba 4108 does not charge

Try resetting your Roomba by removing the battery, unplug the charging connector, hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. This will reset the charging system, replace your battery, connect your charger and see what happens. By the way do you also have a homebase ? If so try that too

SOURCE: Motorola V3m: keyboard lights up:keys frozen,no power to screen.

If you did not replace the firmware,or try and hack the phone then it just died. Nothing last forever. This just means that the light did not die, but the hardware that holds the firmware could have went bad.
You could contact moto and see if they will fix it cheaper than you
can get one off e-bay. You only have 8mo left till your contract runs out. Do not use the upgrade through the carrier,or you are getting robbed. Either wait till it runs out and start a new one or go to
www.wirefly.com, you can get the same exact contract through the same carrier but get a way lower price on the phone, unless the phone you want is free. You could have someone try and reflash
a new firmware on the phone, but I don't think that is the problem.
Hope moto does something for you.

SOURCE: Plantronics Bluetooth Headset P590

This is a "known issue" that I have raised to Plantronics. Whether they do anything about it, remains to be seen. The workaround I have discovered seems to work with both of my P590 headphones that stopped charging:

1. Plug in the USB charging cable to a laptop or computer that is powered on.
2. Connect the USB charging cable to the headphones
3. Connect the 3.5mm headphone cord cable to the headphone output on the laptop of computer (this is the long cable with the normal 3.5mm stereo plug at each end)
4. Plug the other end of the 3.5mm cable into the P590 input.

The headphones should start charging.

Removing the cover on jitterbug flip phone 2

There is not a lot of information available on how to remove the cover on the Jitterbug Flip phone. However, it is possible to remove the back cover by gently prying it off with a small flathead screwdriver. Start at the bottom corner of the phone and work your way around the edge until the cover pops off. Be careful not to damage the phone in the process.

Nobody can hear me when I make or receive calls on jitterbug flip phone. Volume control on side of phone doesn't help.

I was thinking there was a Mute button, but there isn't. It sounds like the phone is faulty. Here is the manual and the page on Volume. Try pressing the volume up button when a call comes in.

My jitterbug flip phone screen does not work. Do you have fix? Could it need a new battery?

Try charging the phone. The outside screen should indicate the charge level. If the outside screen is blank then the phone is likely to be faulty. If the outside screen works but the inside screen doesn't work, then the phone may be faulty.

Jitterbug phone hard reset?

Hello -

See the information here, including the comments:
http://www.hard-reset.com/samsung-r220-hard-reset.html

According to some of the comments there, the cell phone is no longer supported by Jitterbug and can only be used for 9-1-1 service.

After learning that the Samsung SCH-R220 can only be used for emergency calls, you may opt to no longer sell it. If so, please do not just toss it out, but make sure it is sent to responsible electronics recycling. Find information on cell phone recycling here:

Best wishes.

The Jitterbug phone is charged but it will not turn on. Any ideas?

We at Jitterbug are dedicated to providing great service. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I am part of the Jitterbug Customer Service Team, and it’s my job to make sure things like this get made right, and right away. I would like a bit more clarification please. Once your Jitterbug is completely charged and you remove it from the charger, what happens when you press the "On/Off" button to turn your Jitterbug on?
