Hi.

If you look at the front left side of machine there is a removeable inspection port it will have 2 coloured buttons you press these in & pull it up to remove.
Now pull handle back as if vacuuming the floor.
Now where the inspection port was you will see that there is a square hole pull forward on the flap in front of square hole it pivots just behind the round rubber seal.
Slowly lift handle back up at the same time The part with the 2 long grooves in it must go under the flap as you lift handle.

Chris.

Air driven turbo brush

Is this the Lightning model? How old is it? You may have to just replace the belt.

Also, the front brush motor will not engage until the power is turned on and the handle is in the down position. In the upright position the brush motor wont engage. Typical faults will be the belt is broken and needs replacing or the fornt brush motor needs replacing.

Belt for brush not moving

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

Try checking the brush control to ensure its in the correct position before you start vacuuming. When the machine is stood upright, it should be in the centre position and when you release the head the dial should move forward to the on position and the brush bar should start the rotate.

I hope that this is helpful.

Kind regards

take the vacuum head off the end of the tube , turn the machine and place your hand over the end of the tube
if it sucks your hand onto the tube , the machine is working as a vacuum machine
then check fro a blockage in the elbow section near the head
if there is no vacuum , junk it and get a new one

Have a dyson vacum and the beater bar stopped working. How do you fix the beater bar.

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

Check that the brush control dial is in the centre position when upright and then moves forward when the head is released. If the brush bar is still not spinning when switched on in the vacuuming position, check the base for blockages and remove any threads or hairs from the brush bar as outlined in your user guide or on our website.

Putting the turbo head brushes back on to a dyson dc14 vaccum cle

Congratulations on owning a great vacuum cleaner, it's just like mine! Here's what I do: Grab the drive belt and pull while you wiggle the brush bar into it. You have to get a little bit physical with it. The ends of the brush bar will nestle into their keeper pockets nicely when you've got it right. Good luck!

Brush does not turn on my vaccum

When you attach the hose to the wands, there is a connection made between the hose electrical receptacle and the cord from the powerhead. On the Kenmore, it is common for the receptacle on the hose to break away from it's seat and slide back into the handle. When this happens, the receptacle is not positioned far enough forward to make the plug-in connection. Look at the end of the hose and check the receptacle and see if it is sitting flush with the plastic opening that it sits in. If it is pushed back, that's your problem. Also check the re-set breaker on the powerhead. If you got something caught in the brush roll, the breaker will have kicked out to protect the motor.

Bissell vaccum problem

Could be plugged, check the hose and at the bottom by the brush roll, the inlet maybe clogged. Also check the filter under neath the dirt tank. There are filters above the dirt container, clean those out. If after that it is still loud, then maybe the motor fan or bearins are bad and will have to be replaced, part #2031214 sells for around $55.
