SOURCE: wireless internet access

A wireless 802.11b LAN adapter is included in you tablet, activate it thru Control Panel / Wireless. Unfortunately this is the first generation standard and as such is extremely slow, has very limited range and is no longer supported by a lot of the newer generation devices/hotpoints.

SOURCE: I can't get wi-fi connectiion

Welcome to Fixya

First, make sure that WiFi is enabled on the Cruz Reader. From the Home Screen, select Wi-Fi Settings and ensure that both Wi-Fi and Network Notification are enabled with green check marks. After your unit search for network, your Wi-Fi networks list should populate. If you need to rescan, tap Menu> then tap Scan.Detected networks will appear with a SSID to the left, a status line beneath the SSID, a signal strength icon to the right. Those that are secure will also feature a padlock. Tap the network you wish to connect to, then click Connect. If a password is required, tap the text field for the popup keyboard. If you need to configure a connection manually, choose Add Wi-Fi Network> enter your router's SSID> select security type if any and enter password> and Save. Once the Cruz has successfully connected to any SSID, it is saved. When that SSID is no longer available, it is listed in the Wi-Fi networks list as "Not in range, remembered" in the status line.

Thank you for using Fixya!

SOURCE: My ACER tablet (ICONIA

Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. I would like to know if the wifi works before? If the laptop was able to detect and connect to a wireless signal and the Iconia won't you can check the warranty of the Iconia and call acer and they will be able to replace the unit. This is a common issue with Iconia that some of the device has a hardware wifi defect. You can also refer to the link below and see what happen with their Iconia and was able to talk to acer for a replacement.

SOURCE: how do i set up wi fi

Just open your tablet's wifi function, at the same time, open your home's wireless network, then use tablet to search for home wireless, and get connected if it's found.

SOURCE: It's my iPad mini what does airdrop and airplane

Airplane mode turns off 3G and wireless etc. Good for when you are on an airplane or when you are out of range and wish to save battery.
Eg. get on a airplane activate airplane mode, switch off device, plane takes off, then when the seatbelt sign comes off turn device on, and play angry birds or watch a movie without any risk of interfering with plane.
Airdrop is a public folder, that allows you to share images, vids and links via wireless. Similar to Bump, it is less dorkier than having 2 phones have to "kiss". lockable to no airdrop contacts or everyone. See http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57602505-285/getting-to-know-airdrop-on-ios-7/

Lost Wi-Fi on my kindle

You don't give any details. Do you mean you don't have any Wi-Fi at all? Go to the Settings Menu, Select the Wireless & VPN option and see if you are in Airplane mode, if you are turn that off. Then select Wi-Fi. See if Wi-Fi is turned on. If it's not turn it on. There should be a list of available Wi-Fi routers. If one is not selected select one that is open or that you have the password to. If none are open or they are locked and you don't have a password, you'll need to get a password for one, or install your own Wi-Fi router.

How to enable wifi only

  • First, tap on your Settings app (or icon if you have a shortcut on one of your home screens). It's the one that looks like a cog or gear. This will bring up the Settings menu.
  • On your Settings menu, tap on Wireless and network.
  • You should now see a list of wireless-related menus. Tap on the Flight mode - also generally known as Airplane mode - to disable all wireless connections. You'll know it's working because you get an airplane icon on your notifications bar.
  • Great, now you won't be getting any incoming calls. But wait! Now your Wi-Fi connection isn't working, either. Nice going, Jason, you regular Einstein. Hold on your horses, though, because we're not done yet. On that same wireless submenu, tap on Wi-Fi settings.
  • Click the option to Turn on Wi-Fi.
  • Look at your notification bar on your home screen again. You'll still have the airplane icon on, indicating that you won't get any calls. But you will also start seeing a Wi-Fi signal icon. Voila! Now you can connect to a Wi-Fi enabled router or hot spot without worrying about getting roaming charges.

I DONT HAVE INTERNET ON MY HTC JETSTREAM TABLET BECAUSE IT WILL NOT HOLD THE CONNECTION WITH THE HOME WIFI. CAN YOU HELP, PLEASE?undefined

How long has your tablet been turned on without rebooting it? Tablets are just like computers, they need to be rebooted every so often or they "forget" how to do certain things, and wi-fi is one of them, in my experience. Turn off your tablet, let it sit for a minute, then turn it back on again. This should help. If not, check under Settings to make sure someone hasn't accidentally turned off the Wi-Fi button or put the tablet in Airplane mode - both of these things will effectively keep your tablet from connecting. I would try rebooting first.

My wireless connection is disabled how do I correct

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to show Quick Settings, and then tap Wireless.
  2. Verify that Airplane Mode is Off.
  3. Next to Wi-Fi, tap On.
  4. Tap a network to connect to it. If you see a lock icon, a network password is required. Enter the Wi-Fi network password, and then tap Connect.Note: If you don't know the password, check with the person who set up the network. This password is not your Amazon account password.

After you connect to a Wi-Fi network, your Kindle Fire automatically connects to the network again when it's in range. If more than one network is in range, your Kindle Fire automatically connects to the last network used.

I'M not able to connect to any Wi-Fi on my Nabi 2 when I scam for Wi-Fi signal it doesn't give any options to choose from I have a router which I'M able to connect it to my laptop and my tablet. I was...

My kids are always turning on "airplane mode" which shuts down the WiFi. Be sure the tablet isn't in airplane mode (you'll see an airplane icon) in the settings. (It's also an option at shut-down.) Being in airplane mode would prevent the Nabi from "seeing" the WiFi devices.

Wifi for my Tablet

Thank you for the Video, this made it much easier for me to determine the problem. You are correct, you have WiFi, this is not the problem, the problem is with the Tablet's WiFi Service which is freezing, thus not causing you to access WiFi.

Have you installed any new software lately? Something has broken the WiFi software on your Tablet. If you installed a new App recently, remove it to see if that new App broke your WiFi software on your Tablet. If you have not installed anything new on the Tablet maybe the manufacture downloaded an update that broke the WiFi on the Tablet. If you recently received an Software update from the manufature, let perform a Factory Resetr on the tablet to fix the issue.
