Samsung RF266 iceman not working, test button produces no movement or sounds

The problem may be the fan in your refrigerator. It evenly distributes the cool air in your fridge and if it goes out then, the whole fridge goes. It may also be a thermostat or thermistor as well. Samsung appliances are the worst.

If memory serves, you put your finger on & hold the filter warning indicator for 3+ seconds and that will reset it after the filter is replaced. I've temporarily misplaced my owner's manual to confirm for certain.

I have been having the same trouble for over a year and my wife is ready to throw the dinging thing out in the backyard. This is not the only issue with this refrigerator as it continuously ices up at the back and I have to defrost it every few months. So waiting for a sale on an LG.

The heater element is possibly not working or broken.
A sensor in the airduct is possibly covered in wet dust.

Try to unplug the tv for about 10 minutes. It might reset itself.

You have muted the microphone......has nothing to do with the speaker.

Press the surround button on the Philips remote to see if the subwoofer will begin producing noise - the surround button switches the mode from simple stereo to full surround. I would test the surround button while watching a DVD, because not every tv channel is going to even produce surround effects. Good luck!
