LG 32L 53400 32" 720p 60Hz Edge lit LED LCD HD TV in middle of program will switch to Blu Ray connecting...insert disk. I must get up and "input" change to cable.

Or it will switch from program to the settings page. Is it Spectrum cable problem or my television? What is cause and can it be repaired?

It seems like your tv remote and your dvd remote are progamed pertty much the same. What you have to do is put some carboard over the eye of the tv so when you hit the remote it will not change the chanels on the tv. I had that problem with my tv box and tv. I would change the chanel on the tv box and the tv would go off. so I had to cover the eye on the tv so it would not change when I used the cabel remote

SOURCE: Games run on hdmi, but not Blu-ray movies

You most likely have the updated drivers. You may have to go and change a setting. I found an answer on the PS3 website that may be of some use to you. I hope this helps you: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=1662191 From the site: "go to bd/dvd setting and set the "108024hz" option off"

SOURCE: NO SURROUND SOUND WHEN PLAYING BLU-RAY

Your amplifier should "downgrade" the signal to 5.1, even if the disc isn't using it. It is most likely a setting on your amp that may need adjusting for "types" of digital to accept on its input. If you can, set your optical input on your amp to "auto". This way it will automatically detect and switch for the proper incoming audio feed

SOURCE: connecting blu ray to surround sound receiver to tv

Hi, I have just completed this installation myself.
You are correct, HDMI to Amp Input from Bluray and then HDMI from Amp output to TV. Coloured cables are not required to operate the bluray now.
Good luck

SOURCE: PS3 wont go 1080i/720p

I don't think there is a way to set your resolution manually, bro. They do it all by auto. If I may make a suggestion... Turn off both the TV & PS3. Unplug your HDMI, then make sure both your TV & PS3 are turned ON. Now re-connect your HDMI. A TV tech once told me that these units "communicate" through the HDMI. This can only occure whilst they're up & running. This may help get you going on to 1080i.
p.s. PS3 games only output 720p, max! This isn't always the case for Blu Ray movies, but it is for games. Good luck!

SOURCE: Invalid format error with P1600 blu-ray and LG LCD TV 42"

It may be a firmware issue if hdmi works with other items such as playstation.
If no hdmi the main Pcb hdmi ports are bad and the main Pcb would have to be replaced.

Consumers cannot upgrade the firmware so a shop would be the only option.

I have a LG LHB335 Blu-Ray home theater system, & a LG TV I can get Full surround sound when the blu-ray is play a DVD but not when just watching Reg TV. I use a HDMI, should I hook up sonething else ?...

LG documentation states:

When you use SIMPLINK function, you have to

connect to the OPTICAL IN 1 jack to enjoy TV
sound to your speaker system.

Basically you need to have the Audio go from TV to receiver and setup receiver to that Input to output surround sound to all speakers.

If you have a cable box or satellite receiver, hook that output into the receivers input and that should work.

My setup is DirectTv HDMI output goes into the LG Home Theater HDMI Input 1, and LG goes HDMI output into the TV HDMI input 1.
so to watch DirectTV, I switch LG Home theater to HDMI Input 1. and TV is on HDMI input 1 (to view LG HDMI output from DriectTV, Blu-Ray, Vudu, etc.)

I've connected my new Sony Blue-Ray Disk Player to my RCA F25645 TV via the three (Red, White, Yellow) composite cables but the screen only says "unusable signal" and will not display the Blue...

The output from the blu-ray is probably component video, where the brightness, blue and red difference signals are the three outputs. Sounds like the TV only has composite video input so won't work. Check the manuals, if you can get a composite signal from the blu-ray then your TV will display it but not high definition. A HD LCD or plasma TV is needed to show the blu-ray films in high definition.

Need to solve the Problem with LG BD550 and Avatar Extended Collectors Edition! Please help!

This player has some sort of memory shortage when running HD-DTS movies like Avatar Extended. Follow these steps to run the movie:

1. Update the software from your LG BD550 by connecting on internet and downloading the last available software version.

2. Reboot LG BD550

3. Check if software update was done successfully.

4. Insert a memory stick or pen drive in LG BD550 with at least 2 Mb available.

5. Insert Avatar Blu-Ray disk in LG BD550.

NOTE: From the time disk is inserted and starts to run, a message saying "for better performance consult a website blablabla" and just after 1 minute the film menu will be shown. If this does not work, reboot LG BD550 with the pen drive connected to it and try it again. Remember to be patience!

:o)

I had the same problem with film "The GodFather" and probably there are more films out there in HD-DTS which can have the same problem.

Have fun!

When i try to play a Blue Ray DVD, the LG LCD tv gets a swath of bright green random pixels across the middle of the screen. The player is connected by an HDMI cable. I have replaced the cable twice,...

Pickled! You did right by checking the cables, the tv inputs and as well the output on the blue ray...even by replacing the blue ray. Which leads to a problem within the tv monitor. I can only guess there is something in the software of the tv that is causing the problem. I can only suggest two options. If can connect the tv to a network via CAT5 cable, you can do a frimware update to the tv. Sort of like a software update. If it is not available, try to swap the HDMI cable for the 5 RCA component video. It will still carry HD signal, just not as crisp as the HDMI. I would be floored if the same thing happened with the component cable.

I have a samsung tv and samsung blu ray i have my dvr in hdmi 1 and my blu ray in hdmi 2. when i first turn on my tv and blu ray it works fine but if i switch to cable the back to blu ray it says no...

First, HDMI is not a perfect hook-up solution. Cable box connections via HDMI are notorious for being problematic. The best thing you can do is contact Samsung and get the latest firmware for your TV.
Samsung Customer Care: 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864). If this does not resolve the issue, connect the cable box using Component cables instead of the HDMI. Component cables are HD also. I hope this was of some assistance.
